## Six places available in Toronto and Asunción

The opening stage will take place in Canada. From **31 July to 2 August 2026**, Toronto will host the North and Central America qualifier. Two places will be awarded in the men’s draw and one in the women’s draw.

Three weeks later, attention will shift to South America. Asunción will stage its qualifier from **21 to 23 August**, with one men’s place and two women’s places available. Together, the two events will increase the number of qualified nations from ten to thirteen in each competition.

The official pages for the [Toronto qualifier](https://www.padelfip.com/events/fip-world-cup-2026-qualifiers-north-central-america/) and the [Asunción qualifier](https://www.padelfip.com/events/fip-world-cup-2026-qualifiers-south-america/) confirm the dates, locations and men’s and women’s events. They do not yet list the participating nations or draw details.

## The 2026 Padel World Cup format

**When and where will the 2026 Padel World Cup take place?** The FIP World Cup finals will be held in Doha, Qatar, from **2 to 7 November 2026**. The event will feature 32 national teams: 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams.

Ten nations in each draw have already secured their place: the nine highest-ranked teams from the 2024 edition, plus host nation Qatar.

In the men’s competition, defending champion Argentina is joined by Spain, Portugal, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, France, Mexico, Sweden and Qatar.

In the women’s competition, Spain will defend its title against a first group that already includes Argentina, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Brazil, Belgium and Qatar.

After the Toronto and Asunción qualifiers, three places will remain in each draw. The European qualifiers will award two men’s and two women’s spots, while the final place in each competition will go to the winner of the combined Africa-Asia qualifier.

The road to Doha therefore begins far from Qatar, with two American events that will directly shape the World Cup line-up. The first verdict will come in Toronto on 2 August.
