adidas is marketing two new padel rackets carrying Zinedine Zidane’s initials. The **Metalbone ZZ Carbon** is listed at €300 on adidas France, while the **Metalbone ZZ Team** is priced at €180. The official adidas Padel store describes the series as the first padel collaboration between adidas and Zidane.

## Metalbone ZZ Carbon: 6K, 360 to 375 g and €300

The Metalbone ZZ Carbon carries product code **KN0489**. adidas lists a weight of 360 to 375 g, a round shape, Octagonal Structure, Extra Power Grip and a **Carbon 6K** face. The core uses low-density EVA. Spin Blade Decal is also included to help generate spin.

The ZZ Carbon differs from the [Metalbone HRD+ 2026 associated with Ale Galán](https://actu-padel.com/raquette-de-padel-adidas-metalbone-hrd-2026-ale-galan/), which uses a diamond shape and an attack-oriented profile. With the ZZ Carbon, adidas combines a round format with greater maneuverability and control.

## Metalbone ZZ Team: fiberglass, 360 to 375 g and €180

The Metalbone ZZ Team, product code **KN0490**, keeps the round shape and a weight range of 360 to 375 g. Its face switches to **fiberglass**, with low-density EVA, Octagonal Structure, Extra Power Grip and Spin Blade Gritt. adidas describes this construction as softer on contact than the carbon version.

The price gap between the two models is **€120**. The Carbon is aimed at players looking for a firmer response, while the Team favors a softer contact. Both models are listed on [adidas France](https://www.adidas.fr/raquette-metalbone-zz-carbon/KN0489.html), with the [ZZ Team](https://www.adidas.fr/raquette-metalbone-zz-team/KN0490.html) also available at €180.

## Zidane has played padel for several years

In a 2022 interview with L’Équipe, Zinedine Zidane said padel was part of his sporting routine:

> *I play padel regularly. All of that is part of my life.*

The Z5 Padel project extends that involvement. The club’s official website currently lists **12 courts in Aix-en-Provence**, including four covered courts, and six outdoor courts in Istres. The Metalbone ZZ collaboration therefore follows several years of Zidane playing and being active around the sport.

In October 2021, Zidane had already posted a padel video on his Instagram account while tagging Z5 Padel and adidas Padel.

Both Metalbone ZZ models are now listed on adidas.fr, at €300 for the Carbon and €180 for the Team.
