## A first meeting to set the frame

From April 16 to 19, the Just Padel in Nandrin hosted the first 2026 leg of the AFPadel Major Tour. For the French-speaking association, this launch was not just a simple opening tournament: the aim was to give the circuit a clear, ambitious and premium image. The Nandrin site therefore served both as a sporting backdrop and a showcase for a competition designed to be one of the highlights of Belgian padel.

The block above the article highlights useful information as soon as you arrive on the page: the link to the official results, the category format and the timing of the finals. On a short news item, web users want to understand immediately where the tournament is being played, what level it concerns and at what point the weekend is turning point. Here, the Nandrin stage focused on the MD1000 and WD500 categories, with a broadcast announced for Sunday afternoon on AFPadel TV.

## A format designed to promote tension

The tournament sheet confirms that the men’s draw is designed to showcase the strongest pairs without closing the door on outsiders. The final draw features four seeds advancing directly to the quarterfinals, while four other places are reserved for qualifiers. This architecture avoids the tunnel effect of the first rounds, while retaining a real sporting drama. On a circuit such as the Major Tour, this is a key point: the public needs to be able to see what’s going on, but there also needs to be enough uncertainty to keep the competition attractive.

The Nandrin event also attracted 52 registered teams, proving that the opening leg was more than just a warm-up. This density lends weight to the Belgian set, especially in April, at a time when pairs are still finding their bearings, their competitive tempo and their automatisms on transition, vibora or control bandeja sequences. In both the top of the table and in the qualifying rounds, this first stage therefore already had real sporting significance.

## The Major Tour 2026 is launched

Beyond just the Just Padel weekend, this opening already says a lot about the season. The AFPadel presents the Major Tour as the showcase for top-level padel in the Wallonia-Brussels federation, with an overall prize money of 22,800 euros in 2026. After Nandrin, the circuit is due to pass through Rhode-Saint-Genèse, Ath, Louvain-la-Neuve, Verviers, Gerpinnes and Dour. The idea is clear: to set up stages that are identifiable, high-profile and strong enough to win the loyalty of both players and followers.
