Fernando Belasteguín is not merely managing life after competition: he is giving it walls. The former world number one has presented the Bela Padel Center Andorra, a complex planned in Encamp with an announced investment of €5 million. Nine covered courts, a large fitness area and a restaurant are set to shape this new flagship, expected in the second quarter of 2027.
Nine indoor courts and a 25-year lease
The future complex will stand near the Nou Estadi of the Andorran Football Federation. Its sporting layout will be built around nine climate-controlled indoor courts, supplied by Padel Galis and fitted with perimeter lighting. The fully covered concept answers a local reality: in Andorra, weather cannot be left to chance in a club’s business model.
The project also includes a fitness centre of nearly 900 sqm equipped by Technogym, the Casa Bela restaurant and parking for more than 100 vehicles. The site will be operated under a 25-year agreement, showing that this is more than a showcase attached to a legend’s name.
Belasteguín said he wants to bring his brand’s philosophy to Andorra: creating a place used before and after matches, where booking a court becomes the gateway to a broader experience. The aim is not simply to stack courts, but to combine play, training, dining and club life.
The Bela brand moves up a level
Encamp will join the locations in Alicante and Barcelona, along with the centre announced in Buenos Aires for 2027. To discover one of the network’s already operational venues, Actu Padel also lists the Bela Padel Center Barcelona.
This expansion mainly tells the story of Bela’s second career. Retired from the professional tour in 2024, the Argentine is now turning his sporting capital into a structured club brand. The transition is logical: after building his dominance on repetition, high standards and attention to detail, he is applying the same grammar to hospitality, physical preparation and the player experience.
The Andorran investment also illustrates the market’s evolution. Premium projects no longer sell court time alone: they combine padel, fitness, dining and community. In a small territory where sport has a visible role, Encamp offers Bela a compact, international laboratory close to Barcelona.
An opening scheduled for 2027
Available information places the opening in the second quarter of 2027. Before then, the identities of the other investors from the sports world still need to be clarified. The detailed construction schedule and the centre’s commercial terms will also be worth watching.
On court, Belasteguín won by occupying every space. Outside the 20-by-10, the strategy remains familiar: choose the right areas, establish his brand and make the territory difficult to take.
