Buenas Open Championships arrives in Waterloo this Saturday, September 26, at [Tero Padel Club](https://teropadelclub.be/en/home), 389 Chaussée de Tervuren. The event combines a recreational padel tournament with music and a festival program, while the organizers require a vintage sports outfit for entry.

The Waterloo date follows the 2026 stops in Antwerp, Ghent and Knokke. Amateur players remain at the center of the format, but the day is designed around more than a standard tournament schedule.

## Waterloo is the fourth listed stop of the 2026 roadshow

The official [Buenas Open Waterloo](https://buenasopen.com/editions/waterloo/) calendar schedules the Company Cup for September 25 and the Championships for September 26. The Waterloo event takes place at a club with nine courts, six covered and three outdoor, according to Tero Padel Club.

Buenas Open lists Waterloo as the fourth stop of its 2026 roadshow after Antwerp, Ghent and Knokke. The Championships page says doors open at 10:30 a.m. and competition starts at 11:30 a.m. The organizer also directs visitors to the Waterloo planning page for the detailed timetable.

## An amateur tournament grouped by playing level

The format is aimed at recreational players. Teams are placed into categories using Power Scores to reduce mismatches, and every team is guaranteed at least four 20-minute matches according to the official concept page.

The organizer’s FAQ says teams can include four to six people and each match is played by a mixed male-female pair. Buenas Open says all playing levels are welcome, while entry to the event is restricted to people aged 21 or over.

Jerôme van den Bergh, a member of the Buenas Open team, described the 2026 format in a LinkedIn post:

> *“A recreational tournament combining competitive padel with music, entertainment and the Buenas Open Air festival.”*

## Padel continues into a festival program

The lifestyle side comes through the vintage dress code, music and the afterparty scheduled after the sporting program. The official Waterloo page states that vintage sports clothing is part of the entry requirements.

For players, the main sporting features are the short-match format and level-based grouping. Spectators get a festival program built around the padel matches. That combination matches the format promoted by the organizers, who present the Championships as recreational padel followed by a social and music event.

Tickets and the latest schedule are available on the [official Buenas Open website](https://buenasopen.com/editions/waterloo/).
