The **Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1** confirmed a clear trend of the moment: the chasers took over the finals. Paula Josemaría and Bea González again dominated Delfi Brea/Gemma Triay, while Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán smothered Arturo Coello/Agustín Tapia, in two big match-ups that already looked like season classics.

## Josemaría and González, five titles in a row and a series that is gaining weight

Paula Josemaría and Bea González got the ball rolling by beating Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay 6-3, 7-5. The scoreline tells part of the story: a very strong start, two quickly-constructed breaks, then a real ability to accelerate at the right moment in the second set, before the set turned towards a pressure-packed finish.

This fifth consecutive title, after Miami, Newgiza, Brussels and Asunción, confirms that the pair have changed dimension. What’s most striking is the repetition of the same scenario: five finals won in a row against the same opposition, No.1 Brea/Triay. In a discipline where a pair’s balance can be determined by a few details – a low return, a deeper bandeja, a better transition at the net – this consistency sends out a strong message.

Bea González recapped the week’s action, highlighting her team’s hard work and the difficulty of winning a tournament. Five in a row, of course, gives a different door to performance. As for Paula Josemaría, she continues to maintain a special bond with Argentina: after Mar del Plata in 2024 and Buenos Aires in 2025, she adds a third title in the country.

## Chingotto and Galán hit even harder

In the men’s category, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán played out a one-way traffic final against Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia: 6-2, 6-1. Beyond the scoreline, it’s the impression left that counts. The Spanish-Argentinian pair imposed their tempo, closed the angles and prevented Coello/Tapia from unleashing their usual power.

For the “Chingalán”, it’s a fourth consecutive victory over the world’s No. 1 after Gijón, Miami and Asunción, and already a fifth title in 2026. Galán insisted on the idea of daily progress, while Chingotto spoke of a “perfect week” and the special emotion of winning at home. The image of the Argentinian player lifting the trophy in Parque Roca recaps the mood: a sporting victory, but also a popular moment.

## A record-breaking tournament ahead of the Major tournament in Rome

Buenos Aires not only offered two prestigious finals. The tournament also confirmed Argentina’s place in the geography of **world padel**, with 16,920 spectators expected for the semifinals at the Parque Roca. The circuit now leaves South America with two certainties: Josemaría/González and Chingotto/Galán have taken a psychological lead, and the No.1 players know they can no longer expect an average final. Next stop: the [BNL Italy Major Premier Padel](https://www.bnlitalymajorpremierpadel.com/en/), scheduled to take place at the Foro Italico from May 31 to June 7, where the pressure of the rankings and the Race could be stepped up a notch.
