## Qualifying on Wednesday, finals on Saturday at Ghazala Bay

The official FIP event page sets the tournament for **19 to 22 August 2026**. Wednesday is reserved for qualifying if needed. The main draw starts on Thursday. Friday is scheduled for the second round and, depending on the format used, the quarterfinals. The semifinals and finals are set for Saturday, with the first semifinal slot announced for 10 a.m. local time.

The tournament will be played **outdoors at Playa, Ghazala Bay**. Registration is closed. FIP lists an entry fee of 25 euros per player and category, with capacity for 32 places in the main draw and 32 in qualifying. The format may vary by category, as the federation also mentions the possibility of a round robin.

## Seven youth draws from U12 to U18

**Seven draws** appear on the tournament page. The boys’ categories are U12, U14, U16 and U18. For the girls, the FIP page lists U14, U16 and U18.

This brings several age groups together at the same event, from the first U12 international draws through to U18. The FIP Promises Tour is the International Padel Federation circuit dedicated to young players. At Ghazala Bay, the schedule is compact: after a possible qualifying day, three main-draw days are planned before Saturday’s finals.

## Egypt adds another FIP date for young players

Playa follows an already busy sequence in Egypt. On 20 July, FIP described the Alexandria event as the **third Egyptian Promises stop of the season** and announced the circuit’s return from 19 to 22 August. In June, Alexandria had also hosted the first FIP Junior Africa Padel Cup.

When that first continental junior competition was awarded to Egypt, Luigi Carraro underlined the country’s place in the federation’s youth strategy. The FIP president summed up the significance in a few words:

> *A historic moment for our sport and for the entire international youth movement.*

Playa therefore adds another date to Egypt’s calendar. The first matches are expected on Wednesday. For the order of play and any adjustments, the [official FIP Promises Playa event page](https://www.padelfip.com/events/fip-promises-alexandria-ii/) remains the reference. Actu Padel also covered the [FIP Bronze Playa](https://actu-padel.com/fip-bronze-playa-2026-resultats-live/), played in early August at the same Ghazala Bay venue.
