## FIP Silver Dublin 2026: nine French matches to follow

The **FIP Silver Dublin** main draw begins on Thursday, 16 July at Star Padel with a particularly strong French presence: **14 players** are spread across nine first-round matches.

Two Frenchmen will start in the 6 p.m. local-time session. Louis Jover, partnered by Belgium’s Hamza Berrahou, will face British pair Theodore Garton and Cameron Dollimore on Court 1. On Court 3, Thomas Leygue and Arnau Ayats will meet qualifiers Mathias Gonzalez Lambert and Andres Martinez Cuquerella. The Frenchman and his Emirati partner enter the tournament as the **sixth seeds**.

The main French wave arrives on Friday morning. At 11:30 a.m., three all-French pairs immediately face seeded opposition: Benjamin Dufour and Rafael Marquet play second seeds Antonio Fernandez and Pedro Melendez Amaya; Thomas Seux and Nathan Courrin meet fourth seeds Roberto Belmont Pastor and Guillem Figuerola Santiago; Thomas Basso and Julien Biron take on seventh seeds Pepe Aliaga and Adrian Ronco Lopez.

## Sireix and Merah begin on Friday afternoon

Two French women are also on the schedule. Camille Sireix, partnered by Dutch player Tess De Vocht, will face Chloe De La Mare and Ainhoa Rico Martin on Court 3, not before 4 p.m. Steffi Merah and Italy’s Matilde Minelli then play Rosie Quirk and Laura Jackson on Court 1.

In the men’s draw, Pierre Perez Le Tiec and Guillaume Ledrap face Filippo Nicocia and Jaime Menendez from 1 p.m. Yanis Muesser and Arthur Hugounenq meet Kilian Jordan and Florian Valsot in the same time slot on Court 3. Those two matches offer a more open route to the second round than the three morning clashes against seeded teams, but there is still little margin in a compact international draw.

## A condensed tournament through Sunday

The Irish event runs from 15 to 19 July on covered courts, with **€18,000 in prize money**. The men’s draw contains 32 pairs: 26 direct acceptances, four qualifiers and two wild cards. After the remaining round-of-32 matches on Friday, the round of 16 and quarter-finals are scheduled for Saturday, followed by the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.

The winners will collect **80 FIP ranking points**. For the French contingent, the first task is more immediate: negotiate two opening days in which strength in numbers offers no guarantee of an easy passage.
