## Espoo takes the August window

The [International Padel Federation](https://www.padelfip.com/events/fip-silver-esc-padel-ii-2026/) lists the tournament from **19 to 22 August 2026**, with a 32-pair main draw and total prize money of **€18,000**. Qualifying was scheduled from 17 August before the main draw starts. The semifinals and finals are set for Saturday 22 August.

The timing matters. The [official Premier Padel calendar](https://premierpadel.com/en/tournaments) places London P1 from 1 to 8 August, followed by Madrid P1 from 28 August. Espoo therefore sits inside the main tour’s mid-season break. For players competing on the CUPRA FIP Tour, the week offers FIP ranking points and an indoor tournament without a Premier Padel event running at the same time.

During the first 2026 edition held in Espoo in February, tournament director Mikko Rouvala had already linked the strength of the field to the calendar. In an article published by [ESC Padel](https://espoosportsclub.fi/uutiset/tutustu-perati-49-top100-pelaajaa-tulossa-espooseen/), he said of the large number of top-100 players:

> *It is probably down to the calendar, where we are this week’s biggest tournament for ranking points and prize money.*

The club also used its official Instagram account to post a recap of that first edition, won in the women’s draw by Maria Eulalia Rodriguez Abajo and Noa Canovas Paredes.

## Godallier is top seed, Bergeron and Seurin enter the draw

The women’s draw carries direct French interest. **Léa Godallier** partners Argentina’s Daiara Valenzuela and the pair is seeded No. 1. Marta Arellano Navarro and Marina Lobo are seeded second. Camille Sireix is also entered alongside Dutch player Tess de Vocht.

In the men’s draw, Spaniards **Pedro Melendez Amaya and Antonio Fernandez** are the top seeds. Juan Zamora Perez and Marc Sintes Villalonga are No. 2. French pair **Johan Bergeron and Julien Seurin** are in the main draw and will open against fifth seeds Jaume Romera Barceló and Nacho Moragues Moltò.

Several Finnish pairs add a clear home presence. Saana Saarteinen and Ella Sillanpää are in the women’s draw, while Henri Aarnio and Janne Wuorinen received a men’s wild card. Espoo now has until Saturday to make the most of this calendar gap before Premier Padel returns in Madrid.
