The **FIP World Cup Doha** is confirmed for 2026 and 2028. The International Padel Federation has officially awarded the two editions to Qatar, for both the men’s and women’s competitions. The next edition will take place from **2 to 7 November 2026** at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.

The announcement is about more than a host city. By giving Doha two consecutive editions, the FIP is placing its national-team event in a setting already familiar to players, federations and broadcasters. The venue has hosted the Qatar Major Premier Padel since 2022 and the most recent World Team Championships.

## Doha, continuity more than a surprise

According to the [official FIP announcement](https://www.padelfip.com/2026/07/fip-world-cup-qatar-confirmed-as-host-of-the-2026-and-2028-editions/), both editions will feature **16 men’s national teams** and **16 women’s national teams**. The choice of Doha was based on several criteria highlighted by the governing body: infrastructure quality, conditions offered to delegations, experience in staging major events, safety standards, financial guarantees and Qatar’s sporting legacy.

The Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex is therefore not a neutral backdrop. It has become one of the fixed points of the international calendar, with organisational capacity already tested at major events. For the FIP, that continuity can give a clearer frame to a competition that remains one of the few moments when padel is read through nations, not only through pairs.

## Record and equal prize money

The figure that gives the announcement its strongest weight is financial. The 2026 edition will offer **€1.2 million** in prize money. In 2028, the fund will rise to **€1.35 million**. The FIP says the amount will be distributed equally between the men’s and women’s competitions.

The governing body presents this as the highest prize money ever awarded in an official padel competition. That matters because it pushes the World Cup further into a prestige position, at a time when the professional circuit, national federations and major organisers are still working to stabilise the international calendar.

FIP president Luigi Carraro described the award as a decision looking to the future of the sport. In the same announcement, Tareq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Padel Federation, noted that Qatar had already hosted the championship twice and sees these two editions as a chance to build on that experience.

## A date that will matter for national teams

For the nations, the date is now set: **2 to 7 November 2026**. That place in the calendar will require federations to anticipate selection choices, the management of players active on the circuit and the balance between sporting ambition and season constraints.

The FIP World Cup holds a particular place in international padel: it does not crown a pair, but a country’s depth. By awarding two consecutive editions to Doha, the FIP has chosen stability and given Qatar a central role in the next global chapter of padel.
