At the London Premier Padel P1, Thomas Leygue and Clément Geens ended their week with a **6-2, 6-2** defeat to Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger. The pair leave London with three wins, while Geens has announced an adductor strain.

## A step too far on centre court

After coming through qualifying, Leygue and Geens earned their place in the main draw before coming from behind to beat Alvaro Cepero and Eduardo Agustin Torre **3-6, 6-3, 6-4**. The second round placed them against the No. 3 seeds. Lebron and Augsburger quickly took control and won in straight sets.

In an Instagram story posted after the match, Thomas Leygue admitted that the pair had not reproduced the level shown during their first three matches.

> *“The level was simply too high today. Against this kind of team, we tried to do a little too much, and that gets punished.”*

The Frenchman also explained that the pair never managed to settle into the match. The week still leaves a positive balance: **three wins**, an appearance on centre court and a temporary partnership that quickly found its footing.

## Leygue and Geens quickly found their rhythm

Paired together for the London P1, Thomas Leygue and Clément Geens came through qualifying as the No. 5 seeds before reaching the second round of the main draw. The Frenchman and the Belgian therefore took part in the first Premier Padel tournament held in the United Kingdom.

**Clément Geens’ ranking:** the Belgian was ranked world No. 81 in the FIP ranking published on 3 August 2026. Thomas Leygue occupied **167th place**. Read more about [their partnership at the London P1](https://actu-padel.com/clement-geens-thomas-leygue-london-p1/).

Clément Geens also highlighted that positive assessment in his end-of-tournament post.

> *“We leave with three good wins and positive things to take away from the week.”*

## An adductor strain for Geens

The Belgian also announced that he had finished the week with an **adductor strain**. According to his message, he will need a few days or weeks of rest before returning. No precise comeback date has been announced.

> *“I also finish the week with an adductor strain… a few days or weeks of rest will be needed before I can return.”*

Lebron and Augsburger will next face Juan Tello and Maxi Arce in the round of 16, scheduled for Thursday not before **7:30 p.m.** on centre court. The official tournament draw is available on the [FIP website](https://www.padelfip.com/events/london-p1-2026/).
