## All 16 men’s seeds enter in the second round

The **Madrid P1 2026** main draw, played at the Movistar Arena from 1 to 6 September, brings all 16 men’s seeded pairs onto court on Wednesday 2 September after their first-round byes in the 48-pair draw. The official order of play lists 22 matches across three courts: eight on Centre Court, seven on Court 2 and seven on Court 3. The day consists of 16 men’s second-round matches and six women’s matches completing the round of 32.

Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, the No. 1 seeds, open against Federico Mouriño and Marc Quílez on Centre Court. They return to Premier Padel after winning the London P1, where they beat Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán in the final to claim their **eighth title of the 2026 season**. Madrid puts them straight into a compact schedule, with four wins required to reach Sunday’s title match.

Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán, seeded No. 2, face Aris Patiniotis and Diego García. Their previous Premier Padel event ended with defeat to Coello and Tapia in the London final after they had won the title in Pretoria. At that point, the FIP counted **six titles in 2026** for Chingotto and Galán, compared with eight for their main rivals.

## Stupaczuk-Sanz begin their Premier Padel run together

Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz play their first Premier Padel match as partners in Madrid against Mariano González and Curro Cabeza. Their new partnership already had an official warm-up last week at the FIP Gold Belgrade, where they won the title in their first tournament together. In the final, they beat Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas **6-3, 7-5**, the two players they had partnered before the summer break.

Franco Stupaczuk summed up their first week together after the Belgrade final in comments to the FIP:

> *For our first tournament together, we had some very good feelings.*

Stupaczuk and Sanz are the No. 4 seeds in Madrid. Their position places them in the same projected quarter as No. 8 seeds Momo González and Lucas Campagnolo, while Coello-Tapia and Nieto-Yanguas sit in the top quarter of the draw. Madrid will therefore provide their first reference point against established Premier Padel pairs after a winning week on the CUPRA FIP Tour.

## Nieto-Yanguas restart a familiar partnership

Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas return together as the **No. 5 seeds**. Madrid is their first Premier Padel tournament since reuniting during the summer, but not their first event of the season as a pair. They also played the FIP Gold Belgrade, reaching the final before losing to Stupaczuk and Sanz.

Nieto and Yanguas are beginning their **third spell as partners**. They first played together in 2022 on the World Padel Tour and teamed up again throughout the 2025 Premier Padel season. Their 2026 reunion follows the splits of Stupaczuk-Yanguas and Nieto-Sanz. They start in Madrid against Nacho Piotto and Juan Ignacio Rubini on Centre Court.

The draw places Nieto and Yanguas in Coello and Tapia’s quarter. Both teams still have to win their opening matches before that meeting can happen, but the No. 5 seeding gives the reunited pair a clear task at the restart: stay close to the top four pairs in the draw.

## Lebrón-Augsburger return as the tournament’s No. 3 seeds

Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger are the **third seeds** at the Madrid P1 and begin against Javi Martínez and Luis Hernández. Their previous Premier Padel tournament was the London P1, where they reached the semifinals before losing to Chingotto and Galán.

Leo Augsburger returns to the Movistar Arena with a specific status: the Argentine is the **defending Madrid champion**, although he won the 2025 title with Martín Di Nenno. Di Nenno now plays with Paquito Navarro and also opens his tournament on Wednesday, against wild cards Javier Collantes and Asier Martínez. The 2025 champion pair has therefore split into two different routes through the 2026 draw.

Lebrón and Augsburger’s projected quarter includes No. 7 seeds Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal. Stupaczuk-Sanz occupy another quarter, while Di Nenno-Navarro are placed in the Chingotto-Galán section. The new combinations are spread across the draw, which should provide different types of early tests for each project.

## Six women’s matches before the top four seeds enter

The women’s draw continues its round of 32 on Wednesday with **six matches**. No. 8 seeds Alejandra Salazar and Aranzazu Osoro open Centre Court at 9 a.m. against Letizia Manquillo and Lucía Martínez. No. 5 seeds Marta Ortega and Sofia Araújo play later on the same court against Araceli Martínez and Laura Luján.

Lorena Rufo and Victoria Iglesias face Lucía Sainz and Sofia Saiz on Court 2, while Verónica Virseda and Martina Fassio meet Nuria Rodríguez and Giulia Dal Pozzo on Court 3. These matches complete the round-of-16 field because the **top four women’s seeds** received byes and will not enter the tournament until Thursday.

Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea are seeded No. 1, ahead of Paula Josemaría and Bea González, Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero, then Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo. Thursday 3 September will therefore bring the men’s and women’s round of 16 together, with those four women’s pairs already qualified for that stage.

## Madrid P1 2026 schedule: 22 matches on three courts from 9 a.m.

Wednesday’s official schedule begins at **9 a.m.** on all three courts. Centre Court hosts eight matches, including Stupaczuk-Sanz, Chingotto-Galán, Nieto-Yanguas, Coello-Tapia and Lebrón-Augsburger. Courts 2 and 3 each stage seven matches, including several men’s ties between seeded teams and first-round winners.

The second day of the main draw therefore brings every men’s seeded pair into the tournament while completing the women’s opening round. On Thursday 3 September, both draws move to the round of 16, with Triay-Brea, Josemaría-González, Sánchez-Ustero and Fernández-Calvo entering the women’s competition.

## Madrid P1 2026 broadcast in France

Premier Padel states that the early rounds through Wednesday are available on its YouTube channel and lists **Canal+ as a broadcaster in France**. Stream availability depends on the rights applied in each territory.
