**The Cancún P2 2026 closed with victories for the No.1 players in both tables:** in the ladies’ category, **Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea** confirmed their dominance by overcoming **Paula Josemaria / Bea Gonzalez** in straight sets. On the men’s side, **Arturo Coello / Agustin Tapia** had to fight harder to topple **Juan Lebron / Leo Augsburger** in a final of three sets.

**The tournament was initially marked by several upsets in the quarterfinals and semifinals, before a return to the hierarchy at title time:** the two top seeded pairs finally imposed their density at key moments. Cancún was therefore a week of two halves: first, the upsets, then the favourites who came through.

**Ratings:** the **Cancún P2 2026 is over**. Titles go to **Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea** in the women’s category and **Arturo Coello / Agustin Tapia** in the men’s category.

The **Cancún P2** told two stories in a single week. Firstly, that of the outsiders, with several seeds exiting earlier than expected and the men’s draw totally shaken up. Then there were the pairs capable of exploiting the opening without losing their nerve at the decisive moment.

On the ladies’ side, the final between **Triay / Brea** and **Josemaria / Gonzalez** held out for a set before turning point. On the men’s side, **Tapia / Coello** had to go for the title after losing the first set to **Lebron / Augsburger**. A final day which closed the tournament with two finals of very different levels, but with the same conclusion: the favourites finally came out on top.

## Mexican P2 strings together just after Gijón

Cancún hosts the second **P2** tournament of the 2026 season, following on directly from Gijón and just before Miami. The change of scenery is immediate: after the Spanish leg, the circuit shifts to Mexico for a week away, with inevitably different conditions right from the qualifying rounds.

To put this week in the context of the season, you can also take a look at our calendar overview: [Premier Padel 2026: all dates to remember](https://actu-padel.com/en/premier-padel-2026-all-the-dates-to-remember-for-a-historic-season/).

## Dates, staffing, location: what you need to know

The **Cancún P2** takes place from **March 15 to 22, 2026**, with a **prize fund announced at €264,534**. The tournament will be played at the **Rafa Nadal Tennis Center**, in an **outdoor** frame that will significantly change the way matches are played compared to an indoor stage.

The week follows a fairly classic build-up in power: the qualifying rounds open the tournament, before the men’s and then women’s main draws are progressively introduced until Finals Sunday.

## Men’s table: Tapia / Coello and Galán / Chingotto frame a closely watched top flight

The men’s main draw is now known, with a clear hierarchy at the top of the bill: **Tapia / Coello** (1) and **Galán / Chingotto** (2) logically occupy the first two places in the seeding. Behind them, **Yanguas / Stupaczuk** (3) and above all **Lebrón / Augsburger** (4) give this Mexican week a special dimension, at a time of the season when many new associations are still trying to stabilize themselves.

In addition to the seeds, Cancún already features a number of interesting match-ups: **Tello / Alonso**, **González / Di Nenno**, **Garrido / Bergamini**, and the potential big match-up between **Ruiz / Esbri** and **Libaak / Chozas**. On a P2, the start of the tournament is always a tricky one, and this is often when the real solidity of a pair can be measured.

After Gijón, this Mexican tournament is already serving as a breakthrough: some pairs need to confirm, others still need to convince, and some much-anticipated duos have the opportunity here to give real substance to their early season.

With this in mind, **Lebrón / Augsburger** remain one of the most closely watched pairings on the roster, as do **Yanguas / Stupaczuk**, while **Galán / Chingotto** arrive with their attention undoubtedly heightened after the big signal they sent out in Spain.

## Female table: later entry

On the women’s side, the tournament follows a slightly different timetable, with qualifying on March 16 and 17, followed by the main draw on March 18. This gives Cancún a slightly different kind of promotion, with the women’s part of the tournament starting later but fully in keeping with the start of the Premier Padel season.

The main interest here will be to see which pairs manage to pick up the tempo quickly in away conditions, and which manage to contract extension on the momentum built up since the early stages of the year. At this stage of the season, consistency counts almost as much as a single stunning win.

## Qualifying: two Frenchmen on the men’s schedule from Monday

Qualifying continues this Monday, March 16, with an angle that’s easy for the French-speaking public to watch: **Dylan Guichard** and **Thomas Leygue** are both scheduled for the day, each in a big match-up in the men’s qualifying draw.

### Matches listed in the order of play

- Dylan Guichard / Diego Dorta Diaz vs Victor Ruiz / Luciano Capra
- Thomas Leygue / Nuno Deus vs Juan Cruz Belluati / Facundo Dominguez

On the schedule, the order of play announces a **9am** start, with the second round of men’s qualifying and the opening of women’s qualifying.
