AFPadel’s training programme is now under the pedagogical coordination of Jérémy Gala, with the aim of increasing the number of sessions and gradually expanding the federation’s pathway. The announcement, published on 17 September 2026, keeps the foundations of the method developed with Gustavo Spector, Chris Rassart and Chris Pilosio while bringing pedagogical coordination closer to Belgian clubs.
Jérémy Gala takes over pedagogical coordination
AFPadel retains responsibility for training policy and objectives, while Jérémy Gala is responsible for their pedagogical implementation. He already combines teaching work with long experience in Belgian padel. His background includes Belgian national-team selections, experience on the World Padel Tour and the creation of his own academy. Actu Padel also followed him this summer on the AFPadel Major Tour at Parc 1348.
In an Instagram post linked to the announcement, Jérémy Gala confirmed the collaboration:
Very happy to officially announce my collaboration with the Association Francophone de Padel (AFPadel).
The appointment continues a training structure developed with Gustavo Spector, a former Italy national-team coach and experienced trainer, then delivered in French-speaking Belgium by Chris Rassart and Chris Pilosio. AFPadel says the skills acquired and certificates already issued remain valid.
Two levels are already open, with two more planned
AFPadel’s plan is to build around the four pedagogical qualification levels used by ADEPS: Animateur, Initiateur, Éducateur and Entraîneur. ADEPS lists these four qualifications in its sports-coach training framework. The federation also plans refresher courses, continuing education and training for internship supervisors.
The implementation is already visible on the official AFPadel training page. The entry qualification for teaching padel through AFPadel is the Moniteur Sportif Animateur certificate. The course costs 350 euros and the next sessions run from 30 October to 1 November at Athois Le Padel, then from 4 to 6 December at Planet Padel St Georges. Each session takes 12 to 16 candidates from the age of 16.
For the Moniteur Sportif Initiateur level, AFPadel has scheduled the next courses for 2027 and says a detailed calendar will be published in November 2026. Passing the Animateur level is required. Registration is listed at 475 euros, with 10 to 16 candidates per session.
Continuity with Spector, Rassart and Pilosio is maintained
AFPadel presents the change as a reorganisation of pedagogical coordination rather than a reset of the training content. Gustavo Spector helped structure the original method, with Chris Rassart and Chris Pilosio delivering it to candidates in French-speaking Belgium.
For clubs and future coaches, the most concrete change is the announced pace: more sessions, permanent local coordination and, over time, a complete pathway through to the Entraîneur level. The next published dates are the Animateur sessions in autumn and December, before Initiateur training resumes in 2027.
