FIP Bronze Castro 2026 moves into competition on Thursday 20 August at Castro Padel in Chile. The International Padel Federation has scheduled the first two qualifying rounds for that day. The final qualifying round and the first round of the main draw are set for Friday 21 August.
Qualifying Thursday, main draw Friday
The official FIP event page lists a men’s tournament played indoors, with €4,500 in prize money. The qualifying draw can hold 32 pairs, with 30 direct acceptances and two wild cards. Four teams will advance from qualifying to complete the 32-pair main draw.
The schedule is packed into four days. Thursday features the first two qualifying rounds. Friday combines the final qualifying round with the round of 32. The round of 16 and quarter-finals follow on Saturday, before the semi-finals and final on Sunday 23 August.
The official FIP event page brings together the tournament information. The main draw released on 17 August already sets out the leading teams. Castro continues a run of Chilean stops after the FIP Bronze Copiapó, played in late July.
Puppo and Yob lead the draw in Castro
Luciano Puppo and Leonardo Yob are the No. 1 seeds with 670 combined points in the FIP document. Francisco Maier and Santino Contreras are second on 625 points. Fabricio Ivan Peiron and Santiago Rolla hold the third seeded position, ahead of Relis Ferreyra and Juan Manuel Lasgoity.
The Puppo-Yob pairing also has a previous Chilean success behind it. The two Argentinians won the FIP Rise Viña del Mar together in July 2024. After that final, Leonardo Yob described the partnership to La Tercera:
“It is a pleasure to play with him.”
Both players have since continued to produce results in Chile. Yob won FIP Bronze San Antonio in February 2026, while Puppo reached the FIP Bronze Santiago final in April before continuing his season across several Chilean stops.
The first cut comes in qualifying on Thursday. On Friday, the four qualifiers will join a main draw featuring many Argentinian and Chilean pairs. The week ends on Sunday with the final two rounds of the men’s event.
