The FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026, played in Porto from June 27 to July 4, ended with a Spanish double and a very clear final hierarchy: Spain champions in both the boys’ and girls’ events, France taking boys’ silver, and Italy taking girls’ silver.
France still leaves with a real reward: a silver medal in the boys’ draw, after losing 3-0 to Spain in the final but producing a strong run until the last day. In the girls’ event, France finished fifth after a 2-1 win over Belgium in the placement tie, a result that also gives context to Belgium’s solid campaign in the final stage.
FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026 results
The FIP confirmed Spain’s double after a final day with little room for doubt. In the boys’ final, Spain beat France 3-0: Riesgo Mendez / Estabenez Estevez opened against Bessiere / Debroy (6/1 6/2), Fuertes Leonardo / Delgado then defeated Perrot / Huard De La Marre (6/2 7/6), before Zamora / Rivas overcame Robert / Guy De Chamisso (6/4 6/7 6/4).
In the girls’ final, the gap was just as clear. Spain beat Italy 3-0 and went through the entire competition without dropping a set. Garcia Molina / Fernandez Lopez, Ferran / Vera and Portilla / Martin secured the three points against the Italian pairs, underlining Spain’s consistency across the U14, U16 and U18 categories.
France take silver, Belgium stay in the top six
For the French boys, the lost final should not erase the week. The FFT noted that France had beaten hosts Portugal in the semi-finals before running into the Spanish favourites. The third match of the final, lost in three sets by Robert / Guy De Chamisso, also showed that the gap remains high but not impossible in every matchup.
The French girls’ tournament ended with a less visible but meaningful result: fifth place after beating Belgium. For Belgium, reaching that placement tie confirmed a consistent event. The team had entered the Final 8 through the qualifying stage, in a format where only group winners joined the nations already qualified.
The final standings show Europe’s junior hierarchy
The other podium results offer a clear picture of the moment. In the boys’ event, Italy completed the podium after a 3-0 win over Portugal, while Sweden took fifth place ahead of Belgium. In the girls’ event, Italy finished second, Sweden reached the podium after beating Portugal, and France therefore took fifth place ahead of Belgium.
Porto mainly confirmed a wider trend: Spain is not winning only through a handful of early talents, but through collective depth. For France and Belgium, the task now is to turn honourable places and tight ties into long-term development. The Portuguese event showed that the gap still exists, but also that the chasing nations are becoming increasingly settled in the European conversation.
