Twelve years with Drop Shot
Campagnolo described Drop Shot as his “home” for twelve years and thanked the people who accompanied him during that period. In his Portuguese message, he also says the separation is not taking place in the way he would have wanted to say goodbye, without detailing the reasons behind the decision.
Drop Shot was my home for twelve years.
Campagnolo was closely associated with Drop Shot’s Explorer range for years. Several models sold in recent seasons carried his name or the “Campa” label, directly linking the Brazilian player’s image to that racket family.
Campagnolo is world No. 15, his best FIP ranking
The FIP ranks Lucas Campagnolo world No. 15 as of 5 October 2026, with 3,666 points. His Premier Padel record this season is 28 wins and 16 losses. That No. 15 position is also his career-best official ranking.
The FIP lists a semifinal at the Italy Major in Rome, quarterfinals in Buenos Aires, Malaga and Paris, followed by consecutive semifinals in Lyon and Rotterdam. Those results mean the split with Drop Shot comes while Campagnolo is at the highest ranking of his career.
His Rome semifinal earned 720 FIP ranking points. Rotterdam added 180, according to the breakdown on his official profile. Lyon contributed another 90 points during this late-September and early-October run. Together, those three results account for 990 ranking points on his current FIP profile in total.
In Rotterdam, González and Campagnolo beat Paquito Navarro and Martín Di Nenno 2-6, 7-6, 7-5 in the quarterfinals before losing to Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia. Actu Padel followed their run through to the semifinals.
No new equipment brand announced as of 6 October
Campagnolo did not announce a new racket brand in his farewell message. As of 6 October, no official communication from the player identifies the brand he will use for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old Brazilian continues his season with Momo González. The pair are entered as the No. 8 seeds at the Germany P2 in Düsseldorf. The player has not given a date for announcing his next equipment brand.
