The first CUPRA FIP Tour tournament in Pakistan is taking place in Karachi from 2 to 4 October 2026. FIP Bronze Pakistan I has men’s and women’s draws at Padelverse and total prize money of €8,500. The main draw began on Friday after two days of qualifying.
When and where is FIP Bronze Pakistan I played? From 2 to 4 October on the indoor courts at Padelverse in Karachi. The official FIP page publishes the schedule, draws and results.
This is not the first FIP-affiliated competition staged in the country. Karachi had already hosted three FIP Promises stops for junior players. It does, though, mark the arrival of the international adult circuit. Pakistan is one of 17 new countries added to the CUPRA FIP Tour calendar in 2026.
Karachi moves from the junior circuit to FIP Bronze
The official tournament page confirms a 32-pair main draw, indoor courts and finals scheduled for Sunday. The FIP’s World Padel Report 2025 estimates that Pakistan already has 50,000 amateur players. That figure gives this first adult stop a wider significance.
Nico Zurita and Diego Arredondo lead the men’s draw as the top seeds. Zurita has already won three FIP Bronze titles this season in Istanbul, Selangor and Helsingborg. Adrian Ronco and Julian Lacamoire, winners in Dubai the previous weekend, are seeded second. Ainize Santamaria and Gimena Sol Perez head the women’s entry list.
Pakistani players also give the event a clear local stake. Huzaifa and Huzaima Abdul Rehman were making their circuit debuts after a training block in Thailand and a title in Lahore. Before the tournament, Huzaima told the Associated Press of Pakistan:
“It is our first FIP tournament and also the first FIP event in Pakistan, so it is a very special occasion for us.”
The brothers faced fourth seeds Wagdy Raslan and Aly Zaghloul on Friday and lost 6-3, 6-4. The defeat does not diminish the significance of appearing in the first home draw of its kind.
A first stop, with another date already scheduled
The official calendar extends beyond this tournament. A second FIP Bronze is scheduled in Karachi from 16 to 22 November 2026. Two dates in under two months change the nature of the signal: Pakistan is not merely hosting a one-off event, but beginning to take a place in the circuit’s Asian rotation.
This week’s champions are still to be decided. Saturday features the round of 16 and quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and finals on Sunday. Karachi now has a concrete task: turn this first stop into a lasting route for local players.
