At the Rotterdam Premier Padel P2, Ari Sánchez will play the 100th final of her career on Sunday with Andrea Ustero. Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz have also locked the No. 4 seeding for Milan. The finals start at 4 p.m.
Ari Sánchez joins the 100-final club
Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero beat Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea 6-2, 6-3 in 1 hour 19 minutes to reach the CUPRA Rotterdam Premier Padel P2 final. At 29, Sánchez becomes the youngest player to reach 100 professional finals. Among active players, Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar had already passed that mark.
Sánchez-Ustero had lost their previous three meetings with the world No. 1 pair at Bordeaux P2, London P1 and Madrid P1. Andrea Ustero’s smash was a major factor in a straight-sets semifinal win. The Spanish pair can now add Rotterdam to the three 2026 titles already won in Riyadh, Valencia and at the Paris Major.
After the match, Sánchez put the milestone in the context of her season with Ustero. Premier Padel published her reaction after the semifinal.
I’m very happy to reach my 100th final, but I’m not thinking about it. I feel very lucky to play padel.
Sánchez had announced her partnership with Ustero for the 2026 season on her Instagram account. The pair have since won three Premier Padel tournaments and will play on Sunday for a second consecutive title after Paris.
Stupaczuk-Sanz lock the No. 4 seeding for Milan
Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz beat Mike Yanguas and Coki Nieto 6-0, 6-4, also in 1 hour 19 minutes. The semifinal brought together two teams made up of former partners. Stupaczuk-Sanz had already won their meeting at the FIP Gold Belgrade a few weeks earlier.
Stupaczuk and Sanz will play their first Premier Padel final together on Sunday. Their runner-up finish at the FIP Platinum Lyon had already secured the No. 4 seeding at the Germany P2. Their win over Yanguas-Nieto now guarantees the same status for the Milan P1, ahead of their direct rivals for that position.
