Five new padel pairs are entered in the Germany P2 in Düsseldorf: Pol Hernández–Manuel Castaño, Guillermo Collado–Enrique Goenaga, Íñigo Jofre–Juanlu Esbrí, Javi Garrido–Juan Ignacio De Pascual and Lucas Bergamini–Jairo Bautista. Staged from 4 to 11 October 2026, the German tournament gives a clear shape to part of the men’s field after the splits announced around the Paris Major.
Which new padel pairs will play in Düsseldorf in 2026?
The official Germany P2 entry list turns the recent moves into confirmed tournament teams. Hernández and Collado, partners for more than a year, now continue with Castaño and Goenaga. Jofre joins Esbrí, while the end of Garrido and Bergamini’s partnership has produced two separate projects with De Pascual and Bautista.
Pol Hernández explained the split with Collado in a joint post, stressing that it was a sporting decision without conflict:
“It will be a shame not to see you on the same side of the court anymore, but we know this is best for the future of our careers.”
This is a faithful translation of the player’s message. It captures the reason behind the reshuffle: pursuing a different route to progress without dismissing the work already completed. The official post appears below.
Four teams already have competitive matches together
Düsseldorf will not be the first test for every new team. Hernández and Castaño beat Dutch wild cards Julian Prins and Youp de Kroon 6-4, 6-2 in Rotterdam before losing 2-6, 2-6 to Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz. Their partnership had already started at the FIP Platinum Lyon, as Actu Padel reported.
Three other pairs used the FIP Gold in Perugia to begin their projects. On 2 October, the International Padel Federation recorded wins for Bergamini–Bautista against Di Giovanni–Fino (6-3, 6-4), Garrido–De Pascual over Capra–Sánchez (6-3, 6-1) and Jofre–Esbrí against Quatrana–Greco (6-2, 6-2). Those results do not establish their level at a P2, but they mean the three teams will reach Germany with competitive reference points.
The Germany P2 offers a direct comparison
The most useful signal will not be the first score alone, but how each pair responds to established teams. Return patterns, net coverage and the handling of difficult passages need match time. A P2 reveals hesitation quickly: the men’s main draw contains 28 teams and the leading seeds arrive with partnerships built over several months.
Collado and Goenaga are the only one of these five teams without a cited result together at the preceding events. Their opening match in Düsseldorf therefore carries extra interest. Qualifying begins on Sunday 4 October and the men’s main draw starts on Tuesday 6 October. The early rounds will show which projects can already gain ground before the Milan P1.
