Decock with Prygiel, Mahy and Pasquarelli in two different groups
Valentine Decock and Tiffany Prygiel have been placed in Group 4 of the WD500 alongside Clémentine Kalantari / Laure Mahieu and Julie Govaerts / Sophie Leclercq. Decock and Prygiel will start on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. against Kalantari / Mahieu, before facing Govaerts / Leclercq at 1 p.m. The four women’s groups begin on Saturday morning, with only one pair from each group qualifying for the final draw.
In the men’s competition, Léo Mahy and Hugo Pasquarelli will not play together. Hugo Pasquarelli is paired with Maxime Yernaux in Group 7, scheduled for Thursday. They will take to the court at 8 p.m. against Alexandre Sapountzis / Maxime Maistriaux, then at 9:30 p.m. against Amory Pestiaux / Mike Zoller.
Léo Mahy will play on Friday with Ludovic De Maeyer in Group 8. Their first match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. against Federico Minuti / Marco Spina. They will then face Florent Cantillon / Xavier Deschuyteneer at 9:30 p.m.
The men’s qualifying stage is divided into eight groups of three pairs, with four groups played on Thursday and four on Friday. Matches start at 6:30 p.m., with the other two rounds scheduled for 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The eight group winners will advance to Saturday’s knockout draw.
The seeded pairs await the qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday
The WD500 features four pairs directly placed in the quarter-finals: Roxane Lacroix / Laura Bernard, Louise Hua / Louise Vanaudenaerde, Laetitia Patriarche / Zoé Moucheron and Alicia Keppenne / Ornella Hitimana.
Decock and Prygiel already know their possible route through the draw. If they finish first in Group 4, they will face Laetitia Patriarche and Zoé Moucheron on Sunday at 10:45 a.m. The two women’s semi-finals are scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
In the men’s draw, eight pairs have been given direct places in the round of 16: Alexandre Valentin / Philémon Raichman, Gilles Stas / Gil Tremouroux, Mickey Guerin / Semal Robin, Arnaud Destrebecq / Jeremy De Bodt, Boris De Vaere / Arber Qerimi, Jérémy Gala / Charly Lalmand, Benjamin Fievet / Tom Coppens and François Gardier / Tibo De Vylder.
Several partnerships have changed since the Le Midi stop, held in Verviers at the end of August. Laura Bernard, who won there with Rune Vierendeels, is playing this time with Roxane Lacroix. Gilles Stas, winner alongside Maxime De Roose, is competing in Bertransart with Gil Tremouroux. Jérémy Gala, winner in Bertransart in 2025 with Maxime Deloyer, returns this year alongside Charly Lalmand. Actu Padel had covered the Verviers finals.
Saturday will be particularly busy in the MD1000. The round of 32 is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., the round of 16 for 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., followed by the quarter-finals at 8:30 p.m. The two semi-finals will be played on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The official tournament draw then schedules the men’s final for 3 p.m.
Bertransart welcomes the Major Tour again after more than 1,000 visitors in 2025
Centre Sportif du Bertransart had already hosted the Major Tour in October 2025. AFPadel announced more than 1,000 visitors for that stop, which also featured 56 teams. Jérémy Gala / Maxime Deloyer won the men’s draw, while Noémi Sermant / Nina Lammens claimed the women’s title.
In a Télésambre report about that edition, Daniel Van Buyten, owner of Centre Sportif du Bertransart, explained the value of hosting the Major Tour.
We were delighted to be able to host this tournament. It gives us the visibility we needed.
The 2026 edition will once again be played on the complex’s six indoor courts. The Major Tour features the MD1000 and WD500 categories, and AFPadel has announced total prize money of €22,800 for the 2026 season.
Both finals will be broadcast live on Sunday on AFPadel TV from 1:30 p.m.
