L’AFPadel Major Tour Club VG confirmed what the circuit wants to establish in Belgium: a high-level meeting. Held in Rhode-Saint-Genèse from May 28 to 31, the Club VG stopover was part of the 2026 Major Tour schedule, with the MD1000 and WD500 categories on the schedule. The AFPadel presents this circuit as a showcase for top-level padel, designed for both men and women, with the aim of raising the profile of the sport, making it more welcoming and helping it to progress.
A Major Tour designed for Belgium’s top players
What is the Major Tour? It’s one of the most challenging competitions on the AFPadel calendar, aimed at pairs aiming for the top level. The 2026 circuit is built around the MD1000 and WD500 categories, with a prize money announced at €19,000 over the whole season.
As the weekend progressed, Club VG was there. The group stages got the ball rolling on Thursday and Friday, followed by a promotion on Saturday and the finals on Sunday. The event also attracted a large number of spectators, including Clem Padel, Albano Padel and Padel Witsproof that this was more than just a regional tournament frame.
This presence gives the event a special dimension. In a country where padel continues to structure its top level, this type of event is as important for results as it is for image: you see players, content creators, supporters and clubs all working in the same direction.
De Loyer/Lambrecht and De Cocke/Vierendeels are set to compete
The men’s P1000 was won by Maxime De Loyer and Nathan LambrechtsThe pair’s victorious performance in a tough field was hailed for its solidity, with some tough matches and real pressure surrounding the final stages.
In the women’s division, the winners of the WD500 are Anneleen De Cocke and Rune Vierendeels. Their victory is a major highlight of the weekend, as the Major Tour aims specifically to showcase the high level of women’s play on par with the men’s draw. The WD500 format allows these players to benefit from a more visible competitive setting, as exposure remains too rare in some tournaments.
An atmosphere as important as trophies
What also stands out from this stage is the energy surrounding the event. Between the commentaries, the exchanges with the public, the content produced on site and the welcome given by Club VG, the Major Tour gave the image of a circuit that is starting to create its own highlights. Behind-the-scenes and organization content can also be found on theAFPadel.
