Nathan Lambrechts has been selected in Belgium’s men’s squad for the European qualifiers of the 2026 FIP World Cup. The 25-year-old is currently 345th in the FIP ranking with 105 points as of 17 August, his career-best position.
His call-up follows a busy international schedule. Lambrechts’ official FIP profile lists 23 matches in 2026 across FIP and Premier Padel events. He reached the quarter-finals of the FIP Bronze London, played the Brussels P2 qualifiers and also competed in Timisoara, Bandol, Palermo, Narbonne, Belfast, Koksijde, Jersey and Mol.
Madrid comes before Doha for Belgium’s men
The selection does not mean Belgium’s men have already qualified for the final stage. The FIP has listed Belgium among the nations entered in the European qualifiers in Madrid, scheduled from 22 to 26 September. Only two places will be awarded in the men’s draw.
The task is therefore clear. Belgium’s men must finish in a qualifying position to reach Doha. The Belgian women’s team has already secured its place in the final stage. At national level, Lambrechts currently sits fifth in the Padel Belgium ranking, behind Clément Geens, Maxime Deloyer, Maxime De Roose and Bram Coene.
Lambrechts reaches his best FIP ranking
The FIP World Cup will be held in Doha from 2 to 7 November 2026, with 16 men’s and 16 women’s national teams. When Qatar was confirmed as host, FIP president Luigi Carraro highlighted the country’s experience in staging major events:
Qatar has consistently demonstrated that it possesses all the necessary qualities to host world-class events.
For Lambrechts, the selection comes as he reaches his best FIP ranking. Madrid is now the immediate target. Two European places are available in the men’s event, and Belgium must claim one of them to turn this call-up into a trip to Doha. Actu Padel has set out the competition dates in our guide to the 2026 FIP World Cup in Doha.
