A pivotal day at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee
TheAsunción P2 round of 16 enters a much clearer phase. After the first rounds, the favourites take to the Paraguayan tournament’s three courts, with a packed schedule starting at 10 a.m. local time (3 p.m. in France and Belgium). The event, announced by Premier Padel in early May in Asunción, will be played at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, with a prize money of 264,534 euros.
Above all, the day should provide a first indication of the state of the great pairs. On the ladies’ side, Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero get the ball rolling against Noemí Aguilar and Letizia Manquillo, before the expected passages of Triay / Brea, Josemaría / González, Fernández / Araújo and Salazar / Alonso. On the men’s side, Galán / Chingotto, Tapia / Coello, Stupaczuk / Yanguas and Lebrón / Augsburger enter a zone where the slightest slackening can be costly.
For the overall context of the tournament, our presentation of the Asunción Premier Padel P2 2026 reminds us of the importance of this South American sequence before Buenos Aires. Tables and broadcasts are still to be watched via the official Premier Padel page, with matches available on Red Bull TV depending on the territory.

Favourites under pressure, outsiders already on the move
In sporting terms, the day has all the makings of a filter. Tapia and Coello arrive with a response to their stoppage in Brussels, while Lebrón and Augsburger have to confirm that their Belgian title was no mere parenthesis. Galán and Chingotto, meanwhile, are back in a format where their volume of game, their low defense and their ability to accelerate after the bandeja can do a lot of damage.
The women’s draw looks just as tense. Sánchez / Ustero open against a pair who have already earned their right to test the favourites. Later on, Josemaría / González and Triay / Brea will have two different matches to deal with: one against a pair capable of holding the diagonal with intensity, the other against Talaván / Saiz, always dangerous when the exchange settles down.
To remember:
- The round of 16 kicks off at 10am in Paraguay, or 3pm in France and Belgium.
- The world’s padel powerhouses are really coming into their own.
- The schedule is spread over three lanes, with the men’s clashes concentrated on the center court at the end of the day.
- Timetables are subject to the duration of previous matches, especially for matches advertised as “to watch”.
