Two French matches on Friday’s schedule
Key points
- Blanqué/Joris face Meijer/Nolten on Friday at 12:00 p.m. on Court 5.
- Dardaine/Mansart play Pluemer/Hering on centre court, not before 3:00 p.m.
The FIP Bronze Dronten main draw starts on Friday, 17 July at Leisure World Padel. In the men’s event, eighth seeds Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris begin against Dutch pair Bram Meijer and Menno Nolten.
The draw places the French pair in the bottom half. A win would set up a meeting with the winners of Jorrit Hazebroek/Adrian Baamonde against wild cards Yannick Verwater/Tomas Nunes. The immediate hurdle is clear: an unseeded Dutch pair in an official 32-team men’s draw.
The women’s match comes later. Marie-Amélie Dardaine and Clara Mansart face Germany’s Lena Pluemer and Katharina Hering. It is one of two women’s matches listed on Friday’s order of play published by the FIP.
A fast-paced weekend in Dronten
The indoor tournament offers €10,000 in prize money. Men’s qualifying is played on Thursday before the main draw begins Friday. The schedule has the round of 16 and quarter-finals on Saturday, followed by the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.
Blanqué and Joris are listed with 499 team points in the official document. Pedro Araujo/Pedro Graça are the top seeds, while Simone Cremona/Antonio Luque are seeded second. Being seeded eighth protects the French pair in the opening round, but it gives them no settling-in day: the draw accelerates from Saturday.
Dardaine and Mansart also face a straightforward objective: earn a place in the next round of the women’s draw. The task on day one is simple—get through the opener before a Saturday featuring two rounds. In Dronten, recovery will matter as much as imposing their padel from the first match.
Updated schedules, draws and results are available on the official FIP Bronze Dronten page.
