Shared experience before reforming the pair
Jérémy Robert and Yoan Boronad are not starting from scratch. Their shared history goes back at least to December 2024, when they won a P1500 together at Esprit Padel. On his personal website, Robert explains that the partnership worked immediately and highlights what Boronad brought to both his game and his management of matches.
I quickly realised it was difficult to play badly with Yoan. He does everything on court!
That previous experience gives context to their decision for the second half of the season. This is not a partnership built without any common background, but a duo that already has competitive reference points and a long-standing understanding.
The two players have followed different paths in recent months. Robert claimed his first CUPRA FIP Tour title in Marnes in May 2026 alongside Olivier Guy de Chamisso. Boronad continued to compete internationally with Timéo Fonteny and was still listed with him for the FIP Bronze in Frascati at the end of July before the pair withdrew.
Mol as the first official stop of the new phase
The first concrete sign is already visible in the draw for the FIP Bronze R3 Bullpadel Cup in Mol. The Belgian tournament runs from 12 to 16 August 2026, with the main draw scheduled to begin on 14 August.
The FIP lists Yoan Boronad and Jérémy Robert together as the No. 9 seeds. Their place in the draw therefore provides a sporting confirmation of the new project announced for the rest of the season.
Mol will provide an immediate benchmark. The pair will need to recover their routines quickly in a 32-team draw, with the round of 16 and quarter-finals scheduled for Saturday, followed by the semi-finals and final on Sunday. Their seeded status gives them a defined place in the draw, but does not remove the need to rebuild match habits.
A partnership to assess over time
The main challenge will be continuity. Robert and Boronad already know each other, but a partnership built over several tournaments requires more than an occasional collaboration: clear roles, management of difficult periods, scheduling choices and the ability to progress together through FIP draws.
Their second half of the season will therefore begin with a clear test in Belgium. Beyond the result in Mol, the next tournaments will show whether this French pair can turn their previous experience into a stable project on the international circuit.
