Men: Leygue overturns established order behind Guichard
The real highlight of this update is the turning point behind Dylan Guichard. Still French No.1 with 538 points and 103rd in the world, he retains his status as the French leader. But just behind him, Thomas Leygue pulled off the best operation of all for Les Bleus: he came back to 148th place in the world with 362 points and became French #2. In the space of a few days, he overtook Bastien Blanqué (154th, 357 points) and Johan Bergeron (156th, 349 points), two players penalized by a period when points to defend weighed heavily in the ranking. In men’s French padel, the gaps are now so wide that a quarter, a semifinal or a week without a result on the FIP tour is enough to reshuffle the pack.
The second curtain confirms this density. Julien Seurin stays in touch with 340 points, Timéo Fonteny slips back slightly but remains firmly in the French top, while Yoan Boronad holds his line. Further down, Maxime Joris and Philémon Raichman are back on track. As for Thomas Vanbauce, he’s losing a little court. Behind Guichard, the hierarchy remains in flux, and each tournament can redistribute the positions of the best French players.
| Player | World ranking | Points | Trend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dylan Guichard | 103 | 538 | Remains #1 in France |
| Thomas Leygue | 148 | 362 | French No.2 pass |
| Bastien Blanqué | 154 | 357 | Net decline |
| Johan Bergeron | 156 | 349 | Net decline |
Women: Collombon stays the course, Merah changes dimension
In the ladies’ category, the hierarchy doesn’t jump, but it does tighten considerably. Alix Collombon remains the leader of French padel at 34th in the world with 1700 points, ahead of Léa Godallier, now 55th with 1099 points. Behind this duo, Carla Touly continues to progress, climbing to 83rd in the world with 583 points, in a contract extension to her positive momentum. Louise Bahurel is also progressing, Melissa Martin remains in the right zone, and the depth of the French table is strengthening. Steffi Merah, however, made the most impressive leap, climbing ten places to 141st in the world with 232 points.
This progression gives relief to an evolving women’s hierarchy. Camille Sireix drops back, but remains at the heart of a very dense block. Marie-Amélie Dardaine and Manon Marcarie are still moving forward, while Lucile Pothier and Laura Buteau remain in contact. In other words, behind Collombon and Godallier, nothing is set in stone: places will come down to consistency, the ability to defend points and turn a good sequence into lasting results on the international tour.
| Player | World ranking | Points | Trend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alix Collombon | 34 | 1700 | Remains #1 in France |
| Léa Godallier | 55 | 1099 | Consolidates its position |
| Carla Touly | 83 | 583 | Continues to grow |
| Steffi Merah | 141 | 232 | Strongest growth |
A French hierarchy still on the move
This FIP ranking update confirms that the French hierarchy remains particularly fluid. On the men’s side, Thomas Leygue’s promotion behind Dylan Guichard immediately rekindles the battle at the top of the table, while Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron’s setbacks are a reminder of just how much points defense weighs in a season. In the women’s category, Alix Collombon maintains her lead, but Steffi Merah’s progress and Carla Touly’s momentum also show that positions can change rapidly over the coming weeks.

To remember:
- A new look for the men’s ranking: Leygue moves up to No. 2 in France
- Blanqué and Bergeron back down, sign of a much shakier hierarchy
- In the women’s category, Collombon still dominates, but Merah and Touly provide a real boost to the rest of the ranking
