FIP Silver Bali result: 6-1, 6-4 in the final
On Sunday 16 August at Island Sports Canggu, the No. 1 seeds Marcos González Blanco and Martin Abud won the FIP Silver Bali Island Sports. In the final, the Spanish-Paraguayan pair defeated Borja Trujillo Chang and Miguel Morales in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
The tougher passage came in the semi-final. González Blanco and Abud lost the opening set against Sergio Icardo and Jordi Casanova before turning the match around 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The tournament then ended with a much shorter final, as they took the first set 6-1 and closed the second 6-4.
The International Padel Federation reported the Spaniard’s reaction after the title:
“FIP Silver champions in Bali. Martin, we have to keep this going.”
Six titles in 2026, including five FIP Silver trophies
This is González Blanco’s sixth title of the season. Before Bali, he had already won the FIP Silver events in Wadi, Caltanissetta, Timisoara and Narbonne, as well as the FIP Bronze in London. His 2026 tally therefore stands at five FIP Silver titles and one FIP Bronze since February.
One detail links the start and the latest stage of that run. In Wadi, González Blanco won with Victor Mena against Dylan Demian Cuello and Martin Abud. A few months later, Abud became his partner and the pair won Narbonne and Bali together. Actu Padel’s report on González Blanco’s Wadi title in February shows how much has changed since then.
González Blanco reaches a career-high FIP ranking
The progression also appears in the numbers. As of 17 August, the FIP ranks Marcos González Blanco world No. 82 with 805 points, his best position to date. His 2026 record stands at 53 wins from 67 matches, a 79.1% success rate across the matches listed by the federation.
At 21, the Málaga player now has six titles this season and two with Abud. Bali adds 80 FIP points to his total and extends a run built across several months, with title-winning results in five different countries before the trip to Indonesia. That consistency now has a clear ranking reward.
