Floating padel in Liverpool has been open to the public since 26 September 2026 at Princes Dock, where Vibora Liverpool Waters operates two courts installed directly on the water. Liverpool Waters presents the site as the first destination of its kind in the United Kingdom. Players can book every day from 7am to 10pm, with 60-minute slots priced at £55 through Playtomic.
Two courts at launch, with a third planned in 2026
The project received approval for three floating courts and a clubhouse. The opening is being delivered in stages. Two courts are currently available and a third court is due to join the site later in 2026. Liverpool Waters also released only 75 Founding Memberships before launch, without publishing how many were ultimately taken up.
The public price gives players a clear reference point. A one-hour booking at £55 works out at £13.75 per player for a group of four. Vibora also offers individual memberships, corporate options and private event hire.
Gareth Evans, co-founder of Vibora Liverpool Waters, linked the opening to the level of local demand. In the statement published by Liverpool Waters, he said:
The response has been brilliant and it’s shown us just how much appetite there is for padel in the city.
Padel becomes part of the Princes Dock regeneration
Vibora sits within the Liverpool Waters regeneration programme led by Peel Waters across the city’s northern docks. The project combines the courts with a clubhouse, event use and a waterfront site that already hosts leisure activities.
Documents published when the project was approved stated that the floating platforms would come from Finland and the courts would be manufactured in Spain. The setup makes use of an existing water surface rather than requiring an additional waterfront plot.
Floating courts already exist in a small number of international destinations, but Liverpool Waters presents this facility as the first UK venue of its kind. Players can find practical information on the official Vibora Liverpool Waters website. Liverpool Waters also details the opening, operating hours and the next phase of the project.
