The HEAD-FEP partnership is built to last
HEAD will remain the official ball of the Spanish Padel Federation (FEP) until 31 December 2026. The agreement covers every championship organised by the governing body: the junior circuit, open-age and veterans competitions, and both pairs and team events. The Austrian brand also retains its status as an official sponsor.
The relationship began in 2015. Approved by the FEP board in July 2024, the new contract period was signed during the Spanish Junior Championship in Madrid. It runs from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026, taking the partnership beyond a decade.
Which ball will be used in FEP competitions?
The FEP’s official ball is the HEAD Padel Pro+. It replaces the HEAD Padel Pro in federation competitions. According to the FEP presentation, the model uses a new core designed to retain pressure for longer, felt developed specifically for padel and a construction intended to provide more control.
This standardisation has a practical impact. From juniors to veterans, players will use the same reference ball at official FEP events. Ball speed, bounce and pressure retention therefore become common parameters across the national calendar. Details of the extension are available in the Spanish Federation’s official announcement.
A commercial partnership with precise commitments
The contract published by the FEP also sets out the financial terms. HEAD is due to pay €50,000 plus 21% VAT over the two seasons: €20,000 in 2025 and €30,000 in 2026. The brand will also supply 475 boxes of balls per year, along with teaching equipment.
In return, the Federation commits to using HEAD balls exclusively in its championships and to giving the brand visibility across its materials, events and selected operations aimed at clubs and registered players. The contract published by the FEP confirms an alliance that goes beyond logo placement: HEAD remains embedded in the operation of federation-led padel in Spain.
