PPL Los Angeles 2026 results: DC Matrix beat Houston Volts 6-3, 2-6, 11-9 in the women’s final. Mexico Waves beat Florida Goats 6-4, 3-6, 10-2 in the men’s final.
DC Matrix takes the title after the super tie-break
The women’s final pitted DC Matrix against Houston Volts. Araceli Martínez and Marina Guinart took the first set 6-3 before Ari Cañellas and Laia Rodríguez responded by winning the second 6-2. The title was decided in the super tie-break, where Martínez and Guinart prevailed 11-9.
DC Matrix remains near the top of the PPL season. At the New York opener, the franchise had already won the men’s title, while San Diego Stingrays claimed the women’s crown. Actu Padel covered that opening stop in New York. In Los Angeles, the trophy went to DC Matrix’s women’s division.
Mexico Waves settles the men’s final in the decider
The men’s final also required three sets. David Gala and Maxi Arce won the opening set 6-4 for Mexico Waves. Luis Hernández Quesada and Juani de Pascual answered with a 6-3 second set for Florida Goats. The final decider was shorter, with Gala and Arce winning it 10-2 to secure the title for the Mexican franchise.
Los Angeles was the second of five PPL stops in 2026. The event ran from August 13 to 16 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The official calendar continues with Playa del Carmen from September 24 to 27, Guadalajara from November 19 to 22, and the City’s Cup in Miami from December 3 to 6. The official event page lists the schedule and results.
The Los Angeles championship match was also part of the broadcast partnership announced by the PPL and USA Sports. In that release, PPL Chief Commercial Officer Diane Gotua described the aim of that national exposure:
Showcase the intensity of our competition, the talent of our players, and the strength of our team-based format.
The PPL also documented the stop on its official Instagram account.
The two Los Angeles finals therefore produced different category winners from New York: DC Matrix in the women’s division and Mexico Waves in the men’s division. The next stop in Playa del Carmen will provide another benchmark before Guadalajara and Miami.
