Jon Sanz, the reported new partner of Stupaczuk
The next reported partner of Franco Stupaczuk is Jon Sanz. According to MARCA, the two players have decided to team up for the second half of the season. Their first appearance together is expected at the Madrid P1. At this stage, they have not yet published a joint announcement on their official accounts.
Who is the reported partner of Franco Stupaczuk for Madrid?
According to MARCA, Jon Sanz is the player chosen to form a new pair with Stupaczuk from the Madrid P1.
The official Premier Padel calendar lists the Madrid tournament from 28 August to 5 September 2026. The timing follows the split announced on 6 August between Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas. Actu Padel had reported the end of their second partnership after they were eliminated in their opening match at the London P1.
In his Instagram message announcing the split, Stupaczuk suggested that his next step was already taking shape. The Argentine added, translated from Spanish:
On a personal level, big changes are coming. I will tell you more very soon.
On court, the side allocation is straightforward. Stupaczuk plays on the left, while the left-handed player from Navarre plays on the right. In the FIP ranking on 10 August, Stupaczuk is No. 7 with 6,570 points and Sanz is No. 12 with 5,106 points. The new Stupaczuk-Sanz pair therefore brings together two players already established near the top of the world ranking.
All eyes now turn to Nieto and Yanguas
The move leaves two players without an announced partner. Coki Nieto’s second spell with Jon Sanz is coming to an end, while Mike Yanguas is also looking for a new partner after his split with Stupaczuk. Nieto explained on Instagram that he does not like changing partners, especially in the middle of a season, while saying that he respects the decision.
On 10 August, Yanguas is world No. 8 and Nieto No. 10. Neither has yet announced his next partnership. Their choices will therefore directly affect the composition of the leading pairs when the circuit resumes.
Yanguas is enjoying the break for now, as shown by the Instagram carousel provided in the brief. The post says nothing about his sporting negotiations. These days off come at a moment when he has to choose his next project before Madrid.
If the Stupaczuk-Sanz partnership is officially announced in the coming days, the next part of the men’s transfer market will focus mainly on Yanguas and Nieto. Their announcements will complete the new configuration at the top of the draw before the Madrid P1.
