Valladolid P2 padel: dates, Plaza Mayor and main draw
The Valladolid P2 padel event returns to its most recognisable setting: Plaza Mayor, an outdoor centre court, four competition courts and a week of Premier Padel scheduled from 21 to 28 June. The FIP lists prize money of €264,534, a 28-pair men’s draw, a 24-pair women’s draw and a main draw running from Tuesday 23 to Sunday 28 June. The official tournament website presents Valladolid as a central stop to follow the order of play, results and Plaza Mayor atmosphere.
Sportingly, the first marker is clear: Arturo Coello returns home with Agustín Tapia. The number 1 seeds will enter only in the round of 16, against the winners of Chozas/Libaak versus Sánchez Blasco/Sanyo Gutiérrez. In Valladolid, that means more than favourite status: Coello plays there with a level of local expectation few players know so directly.
The top half has gained weight mainly because Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger are now seeded 3, ahead of Stupaczuk/Yanguas. A theoretical quarter-final against González/Campagnolo would be one of the first tests of their new place in the hierarchy.
| Section | Key pairs | Potential quarter-final |
|---|---|---|
| Top half | Coello/Tapia, Nieto/Sanz, Lebrón/Augsburger, González/Campagnolo | Coello/Tapia vs Nieto/Sanz; Lebrón/Augsburger vs González/Campagnolo |
| Bottom half | Galán/Chingotto, Stupaczuk/Yanguas, Di Nenno/Navarro, Leal/Guerrero | Stupaczuk/Yanguas vs Leal/Guerrero; Di Nenno/Navarro vs Galán/Chingotto |
Another local storyline: Rodrigo Coello Manso, Arturo’s younger brother, has a wildcard with Adam Axelsson. The task will be steep, but the presence of another Coello in the draw already gives this edition extra colour.
Brea/Triay lead the way, Collombon has a real opening
In the women’s draw, Delfi Brea / Gemma Triay are seeded 1, ahead of Paula Josemaría / Bea González. The bottom half therefore remains extremely dense, with Josemaría/González, Icardo/Jensen and Salazar/Alonso as major reference points.
| Women’s section | Pairs to watch | Potential quarter-final |
|---|---|---|
| Top half | Brea/Triay, Ortega/Calvo, Guinart/Virseda, Sánchez/Ustero | Brea/Triay vs Ortega/Calvo; Guinart/Virseda vs Sánchez/Ustero |
| Bottom half | Fernández/Araújo, Salazar/Alonso, Icardo/Jensen, Josemaría/González | Fernández/Araújo vs Salazar/Alonso; Icardo/Jensen vs Josemaría/González |
For Alix Collombon, alongside Ksenia Sharifova, the first round against Marta Caparrós Maldonado / Julieta Bidahorria looks readable without being a formality. The French player can target the round of 16 if the pair imposes its return game early and protects the long diagonal better.
If they win, the expected obstacle would be Alejandra Salazar / Alejandra Alonso, seeded 7. It is not a gift, but it is not the most blocked corridor in the draw either. In Valladolid’s very specific atmosphere, Collombon has a card to play.
A P2 that can matter beyond the calendar
The week comes just after a busy stretch of the 2026 Premier Padel calendar. At P2 level, the points are not Major points, but draw management can still weigh heavily in the race for seedings and in the confidence of pairs before Bordeaux. To read Coello’s trajectory, our article on his 10 Premier Padel Majors also offers useful context.
For Coello/Tapia, Valladolid feels like a soft obligation: winning would be logical, losing would echo loudly. For Galán/Chingotto, Lebrón/Augsburger or Stupaczuk/Yanguas, Plaza Mayor offers a chance to shift the storyline. And for Collombon, this may be the right moment to turn a favourable draw into a real sporting step forward.
Key takeaways
- Valladolid P2 runs from 21 to 28 June, with the main draw from 23 to 28.
- Coello/Tapia and Brea/Triay are the number 1 seeds.
- Lebrón/Augsburger move ahead of Stupaczuk/Yanguas as seeded 3.
- Alix Collombon starts against Caparrós/Bidahorria with a credible route toward the round of 16.
