The women’s Premier Padel transfer market is moving again just days before Madrid P1 entries close. Vero Virseda / Jimena Velasco and Lucía Martínez / Águeda Pérez are ending their partnerships, with no new pair officially announced as of 8 August 2026.
Virseda and Velasco stop after three tournaments
Vero Virseda and Jimena Velasco have decided to end their partnership after only three tournaments together. The duo stood as the ninth pair, just outside the top eight seeded teams.
Virseda confirmed the end of the partnership on social media. The split comes only a few days before the Madrid entry deadline.
The partnership was part of the recent reshuffle in the women’s draw. Its end puts Virseda and Velasco back on the market before the circuit resumes in Madrid.
Martínez and Pérez also end their partnership
Lucía Martínez and Águeda Pérez are also going their separate ways. Their best Premier Padel result together this season remains the Buenos Aires P1 quarter-final, reached in May.
In Argentina, they beat Julieta Bidahorria and Marta Caparrós in the round of 16, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6. Their quarter-final against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay could not be played because Martínez was dealing with a physical issue. Buenos Aires remained their main shared result on the circuit.
Who will their new partners be in Madrid?
Who is the new partner of Virseda, Velasco, Martínez or Pérez?
No new partnership involving these four players has been officially announced in the sources checked as of 8 August 2026. The Madrid P1 entry list will provide the first official answer.
The FIP has set the entry deadline for the Comunidad de Madrid Premier Padel P1 for 12 August at 5 p.m. CET. Qualifying will run from 29 to 31 August at Pro Padel Coslada, before the main draw from 1 to 6 September at Movistar Arena.
The calendar leaves little time to make new partnerships official. The 12 August deadline will provide the first concrete picture of this new move in the women’s transfer market.
