After the opening round of the FIP Bronze Mol, six Belgian players remain in the main draw on Saturday 15 August: Bram Coene, Joris De Weerdt, Charly Lalmand, Lenno Degeling, Arthur Vanopbroeke and Maxime Deloyer.
On Friday, Lalmand and Degeling defeated Ludovic Hutzemakers and Eliott Verraghen 6/4 6/2. Marco Remolina Pablo and Arthur Vanopbroeke beat Toni Villena Quiros and Jonas Trumpler 7/5 6/1, while Maxime Deloyer and Yanis Muesser overcame Ben Phillips and Jaime Lobo Wordsworth 6/4 6/4.
Bram Coene and Joris De Weerdt, who entered the main draw as lucky losers, came back to beat Maxime De Roose and Nathan Lambrechts in three sets: 4/6 7/5 7/6.
The Belgian round-of-16 programme starts at 10:30 a.m.:
- 10:30 a.m., Court 12: No. 4 seeds Marcos Cordoba / Alejandro Calvo Perez vs Charly Lalmand / Lenno Degeling.
- 10:30 a.m., Court 13: No. 5 seeds Victor Tur Checa / Agustin Reca vs Maxime Deloyer / Yanis Muesser.
- 10:30 a.m., Court 14: Bram Coene / Joris De Weerdt vs Bart Van Opstal / Nicolas Peña Ruiz.
- Followed by, Court 13: Marco Remolina Pablo / Arthur Vanopbroeke vs No. 6 seeds Thijs Roper / Willy Släryd.
The quarterfinals are scheduled not before 6:30 p.m.. Three sections of the draw could still involve Belgian players:
- Court 11: the winner of Tur Checa / Reca vs Deloyer / Muesser will face the winner of Sassano / Vazquez Bennassar vs Cremona / Romera Barcelo.
- Court 12: the winner of Cordoba / Calvo Perez vs Lalmand / Degeling will meet the winner of Remolina Pablo / Vanopbroeke vs Roper / Släryd.
- Court 14: the winner of Coene / De Weerdt vs Van Opstal / Peña Ruiz will face the winner of Diaz Oliver / Garau Barbosa vs Rutgersson / Nieto Simon.
Court 12 could therefore feature significant Belgian involvement in the evening. If Lalmand / Degeling and Remolina Pablo / Vanopbroeke both win their round-of-16 matches, at least one Belgian player will be guaranteed a place in Sunday’s semifinals.
The official order of play states that matches may be moved between courts. Times and any schedule changes can be followed on the official FIP event page.
At FIP Bronze Mol, nine Belgian players remain in contention as the main draw starts on Friday 14 August at Mol Tennis & Padel Club. The opening round features these players across five matches. The FIP then schedules the round of 16 and quarterfinals for Saturday 15 August, followed by the semifinals and final on Sunday 16 August.
FIP Bronze Mol: the Belgian matches on Friday 14 August

- 1:30 p.m., Court 12: Marco Remolina Pablo / Arthur Vanopbroeke vs Toni Villena Quiros / Jonas Trumpler.
- 1:30 p.m., Court 14: Maxime De Roose / Nathan Lambrechts vs Bram Meijer / Menno Nolten, the No. 10 seeds.

The Degeling/Lalmand match against Hutzemakers/Verraghen already guarantees a pair with two Belgian players in the round of 16. The others first have to clear opening matches against opponents with more FIP points in several cases.
Deloyer, Degeling and Lalmand arrive with recent Belgian titles
Three players in the draw won national titles in July. Maxime Deloyer is the 2026 Belgian champion with Clément Geens. Lenno Degeling and Charly Lalmand won the U18 title.
On 10 August, Deloyer also announced on his official Instagram account that he would play FIP Bronze Mol with Yanis Muesser.
Deloyer knows the value of playing at home. Speaking to Brussels Premier Padel in 2024, he summed up the effect of local support:
“In Belgium, it’s motivating to have a crowd.”
In Mol, Deloyer is partnering Frenchman Yanis Muesser this week. A Friday win could send them into a next-round meeting with No. 5 seeds Agustin Reca and Victor Tur Checa, provided Reca and Tur Checa beat Imran Danill Van Dijk and Rafael Marquet.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August: the draw speeds up
The schedule is compact. Players who advance will play the round of 16 and quarterfinals on Saturday. Sunday is reserved for the semifinals and final. The men’s draw awards 40 FIP points to the champions and has an announced total prize purse of €4,250.
For any schedule changes and results, the official FIP event page remains the reference. The tournament runs at Mol Tennis & Padel Club through Sunday 16 August.
