A first PPL event in Los Angeles
PPL announced in January that this would be its first event in Los Angeles. The season began one month earlier in New York, before this second stop on the calendar. Actu Padel covered the opening of the 2026 season in New York.
In the release announcing the schedule, PPL CEO Mike Dorfman described the league’s direction:
Our 2026 season schedule reflects the next phase of the Pro Padel League’s growth.
All ten league franchises are entered in this stop. Men’s and women’s results award points in their respective standings and also feed into an overall combined ranking used for qualification to the City’s Cup Finals in Miami.
Sunday, August 16 is reserved for Podium Day, with third-place and championship matches. The matches are available on PPL’s official YouTube channel. Sunday’s championship match is also among the season finals scheduled for CNBC in the United States.
After Los Angeles, the regular season resumes in Playa del Carmen from September 24 to 27, followed by Guadalajara in November. Every result in California therefore counts toward the race to the Miami finals, scheduled for December 3 to 6.
