The seven draws at FIP Promises Marina di Ravenna
The official programme divides the competition as follows:
- Boys: U12, U14, U16 and U18.
- Girls: U14, U16 and U18.
The official FIP event page therefore lists no Girls U12 draw for this Italian stop. After qualifying scheduled for Thursday 6 August if required, Friday is dedicated to the first round of the knockout draws or the opening round-robin matches. The official schedule places Boys U14 and U16 matches from 9:00 am. Girls U14 and U16 groups also begin during the morning, before a large U18 block later in the day.
Laurino and Indomenico begin their U18 draw
The Boys U18 draw is led by Gabriele Laurino and Stefano Indomenico. The two Italians were part of the national team that won bronze at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup. Their first match of the day is scheduled against Tommy Buzzoni Corrente and Riccardo Vecchi.
In Girls U18, Spain’s Vega Cano Ortin and Maria Martinez Perez head the field highlighted by the FIP. In Boys U16, Swiss brothers Nathan and Benjamin Filieri lead the draw. These three pairs represent Italy, Spain and Switzerland across the U18 and U16 categories.
Finals scheduled for Sunday at 5:00 pm
The tournament is being played at Heroe’s Marina Sport Center in Marina di Ravenna, with four outdoor courts reserved for matches. Under the structure published by the FIP, Saturday is set to feature second-round matches and quarter-finals. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled for Sunday 9 August, with the finals listed for 5:00 pm local time.
