FIP Westerbork 2026 will bring a women’s Silver and a men’s Bronze to Racketclub Westerbork from 24 to 30 August. Qualifying starts on 26 August, with Marcella Koek and Sten Richters the highest-ranked Dutch players in the FIP ranking dated 3 August.
Dates, entries and prize money for FIP Westerbork 2026
The International Padel Federation lists both events from 24 to 30 August 2026. The first qualifying matches are scheduled for Wednesday 26, before the main draws begin on Friday 28. The semifinals and finals are due to be played on Sunday 30.
Matches will be played outdoors at Racketclub Westerbork, Homaat 1, 9431 MK Westerbork. The women’s FIP Silver carries €9,000 in prize money, while the men’s FIP Bronze offers €5,000. Entries close on 14 August at 5 p.m. CET. Each category has a 32-pair main draw and a separate 32-pair qualifying draw.
For Westerbork, this is a second consecutive season on the international calendar. In 2025, both categories were staged as FIP Bronze events. This year, the women’s tournament moves up one level while the men’s event remains a Bronze.
Marcella Koek returns as the Dutch women’s No. 1
In the FIP ranking dated 3 August, Marcella Koek is world No. 76 with 725 points. She sits ahead of the other Dutch women checked, including Stephanie Weterings at No. 140 and Maaike Betz at No. 154.
Koek already knows Westerbork well. In 2025, she won the tournament with Victoria Kurz after coming back against Weterings and Tia Norton in the final, 0-6, 6-2, 6-0. In the official FIP report published after the match, she summed up what winning at home meant to her.
“Playing in my home country is always special.”
Her 2026 season has kept that momentum going. In July, Koek and Kurz won the FIP Silver in Pingyuan and then the FIP Bronze in Banten. The Dutch player later reached the semifinals of the Jersey FIP Silver at the end of the month.
Sten Richters also leads the Dutch ranking
On the men’s side, Sten Richters is world No. 121 with 482 points as of 3 August. He is ahead of Youp de Kroon and Julian Prins, both tied at No. 126 with 469 points, and Thijs Roper at No. 154.
Richters also arrives with recent results behind him. In July, he won the Tbilisi FIP Bronze with Pedro Melendez, reached the Belfast FIP Silver final and then the Dronten FIP Bronze final. Westerbork therefore gives the Netherlands’ two ranking leaders a home event during a busy international run.
The final entry lists are not yet known. Attention now turns to which players and pairs will confirm their places before the 14 August deadline, and how much ground the Dutch contingent can make in two draws at different FIP levels.
