The event forms part of Premier Padel’s expansion into new markets in 2026. The LTA reported that 860,000 adults and juniors played padel at least once in Britain in 2025, while the country had 1,553 courts across 559 venues by year-end.
“The 2026 calendar is a fantastic moment for professional padel, with the Tour entering three new cities,” said Premier Padel CEO David Sugden.
Geens and Leygue in qualifying
Clément Geens and Thomas Leygue, the fifth seeds in the preliminary draw, won their opening match against Ferran Insa and Octavio Alvarez. They next face Adrian Ronco Lopez and Julian Lacamoire for a place in the men’s main draw.
Other French-speaking players are involved in qualifying. Léa Godallier partners Daiara Valenzuela, Carla Touly plays with Lucia Peralta Exposito and Louise Bahurel teams up with Nerea Guerra Santana. Belgian Helena Wyckaert received a wild card with Britain’s Tia Norton, while Alix Collombon is paired with Ksenia Sharifova in the women’s main draw.

The men’s draw is headed by Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, followed by Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán. Leandro Augsburger and Juan Lebrón, Miguel Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk, Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro, Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto are also among the leading seeds.
In the women’s event, Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea lead the draw ahead of Paula Josemaría and Bea González, Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero, and Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo. Marta Ortega and Sofia Araújo, Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen, Marina Guinart and Alejandra Alonso, and Alejandra Salazar and Aranzazu Osoro complete the main group of contenders.
