Six days, nine categories and more than KES 600,000
The Networks Open Season 2 will take place from 25 to 30 August 2026 at Networks Padel Village in Gigiri, Nairobi. The tournament’s official event page confirms nine categories and a prize pool of more than KES 600,000.
The competition is spread across six days. Matches are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday, then from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. over the weekend. Entry costs KES 8,000 per team, or KES 4,000 per player. Registration is open through the form linked from the event page.
The club also states that player placement is based on the Kenya Padel Ranking. Organisers may recommend a category change when needed to reduce large differences in playing level.
A 4.5+ category for the top end of the draw
Launch information for the event includes a Top Kenya 4.5+ category for players at the upper end of the national level scale. The Kenya Padel Federation portal currently lists its leading men at 4.5+, giving that top category a clear national reference.
Players closer to beginner level can therefore enter an organised competition while Kenya’s strongest profiles have a clearly identified draw. The Networks Open is designed to create a progression across several playing levels rather than placing every participant in the same division.
Sylvia Mugweru, club manager at Networks Padel Village, summed up that ambition in a statement reported by TV47:
Season 2 is bigger, more competitive, and designed to continue growing the sport.
Nairobi padel adds more events ahead of the FIP Silver
The Networks Open remains a club tournament, separate from the international circuit. But it comes during a busy 2026 in Nairobi. In March, the city hosted the first CUPRA FIP Tour event held in Kenya, a FIP Bronze. The FIP then has a FIP Silver in Nairobi scheduled for September.
Networks Padel Village had already hosted the Carrefour Open in June, announced with more than 250 participants and KES 700,000 in prize money. The club has six covered courts and runs several competition formats through the season. Actu Padel’s club directory also lists a number of other padel venues in Nairobi.
Between club tournaments, a national ranking and FIP events, Nairobi now offers several competitive steps within the same season. After the Networks Open, the next international marker will be the FIP Silver scheduled for September.
