House of Padel will open its first Northern Ireland club in Belfast after announcing a £1.5 million investment. The project is located at 1-5 Redcar Street in East Belfast, close to Woodstock Road. The 33,000 sq ft venue is due to welcome players at the end of September.
Eight padel courts in Belfast, including two singles courts
The new complex will have six doubles courts and two singles courts, all indoors. The club page already listed on Playtomic confirms that configuration and describes all eight courts as panoramic. Three pickleball courts will also be part of the venue.
House of Padel is not limiting the project to court hire. Plans include a mat Pilates and yoga studio, a weights room, a cardio mezzanine, a warm-up zone, a sauna, cold plunge facilities and a health food and coffee bar. The investment is also expected to create 15 jobs.
The project had already passed an administrative milestone in the spring. The file considered by Belfast City Council covered the conversion of a vacant Redcar Street warehouse into an indoor padel facility with a café, changing rooms, gym and pickleball courts. The address and applicant name match the project now announced by House of Padel.
House of Padel takes its model north of the border
Founded by Will McGlade, the brand opened its first club in Dublin in 2024. Belfast is the next step in its expansion. The model is close to the original venue: combine padel with fitness, recovery and a social club experience.
In the announcement published on 17 August, McGlade explained why East Belfast was chosen:
“East Belfast felt like the perfect location for that vision.”
He also highlighted the 15 new jobs and the aim of building a community around the club. House of Padel wants Redcar Street to be somewhere players stay before and after a match, rather than a venue used only for a court booking.
Late-September opening, pricing not yet announced
The club is scheduled to open officially in late September 2026. House of Padel says both members and non-members will be able to use the venue. Court bookings will be handled through Playtomic. The club page is already live with all eight courts listed, but no booking slots are currently available.
How much will one hour of padel cost at House of Padel Belfast?
The price has not yet been announced. The club says rates, membership options and opening events will be confirmed before launch.
For players looking for padel in Belfast, the practical detail is already clear: eight additional indoor courts are planned for Redcar Street, with opening day expected within weeks.
