Coello-Tapia and Chingotto-Galán kept apart until the final
Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, the No. 1 seeds, will open against a qualifying pair or José Antonio Diestro and Marc Sintes. Defending Düsseldorf champions Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán, seeded No. 2, will wait for Garrido-De Pascual or García-Ruiz. The official FIP draw has 28 men’s pairs.
The projected quarterfinals are Coello-Tapia against Guerrero-Leal, González-Campagnolo against Lebrón-Augsburger, Stupaczuk-Sanz against Navarro-Di Nenno and Nieto-Yanguas against Chingotto-Galán. The draw changes one key point from Rotterdam. Coello and Tapia beat Chingotto and Galán in the quarterfinals in the Netherlands. In Düsseldorf, the top two pairs cannot meet before the final.
Coello and Tapia arrive with consecutive titles at the Paris Major and Rotterdam P2. Their 6-3, 6-2 win over Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz in the Netherlands gave them a tenth title in 2026. Stupaczuk and Sanz, now the No. 4 seeds, will begin against German wild cards Lindmeyer-Wunner or a qualifying pair. Actu Padel covered their first Premier Padel final together in Rotterdam.
Sánchez-Ustero could meet Brea-Triay again in the semifinals
Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea, the No. 1 seeds and defending champions, will begin against Jana Montes and Marta Barrera or a qualifier or lucky loser. No. 3 seeds Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero will face Velasco-Eugenio or Alix Collombon and Ksenia Sharifova. Both pairs are in the top half, leaving open another semifinal after Sánchez-Ustero won their Rotterdam meeting 6-2, 6-3.
The projected quarterfinals are Brea-Triay against Jensen-Cánovas, Salazar-Osoro against Sánchez-Ustero, Fernández-Calvo against Ortega-Araújo and Guinart-Alonso against Josemaría-González. Claudia Jensen is playing this week with Noa Cánovas after Tamara Icardo’s injury, also reported by the FIP.
Andrea Ustero spoke directly about the German stop after winning in Rotterdam. Premier Padel quoted the Spanish player:
Now it’s time to think about giving it our all next week in Germany.
