Hexagon World Series 2027: dates and Madrid venue confirmed
The GENERALI Hexagon Cup Madrid will become the first official event of the Hexagon World Series 2027. FIP and the organisers have set the event for 21 to 24 January 2027 at the Caja Mágica, which also hosted the 2026 edition. Madrid will therefore open the 2027 international padel season for this team competition.
The announcement also confirms a calendar change. The official launch of the series, initially planned for 2026, has been moved to January 2027. Hexagon says the extra time is needed to strengthen the sporting, operational and commercial structure across several markets. The project is being developed with 54, FIP, Premier Padel and other stakeholders.
The decision puts the Hexagon Cup back at the centre of the project. Launched in 2023, the tournament has had three editions in Madrid between 2024 and 2026. The International Padel Federation presents the Hexagon World Series as its official professional team circuit, alongside Premier Padel and the CUPRA FIP Tour.
The 2026 launch moves to January 2027
Earlier this year, FIP was still promoting several Hexagon World Series windows in September, October and December 2026. The 11 August announcement changes that framework. The official launch is now set for Madrid in January 2027, while the rest of the calendar will be announced later.
The official FIP Instagram post below documents that earlier 2026 calendar, before the revision announced in August.
Actu Padel had already covered the 2026 calendar adjustments linked to the Hexagon World Series. The key point is now clear: the first official season of the series will begin in 2027.
Four competition days, with the format still to come
The 2027 event will move from five to four competition days. The detailed sporting format will be announced in the coming weeks. Teams, players and the other cities on the 2027 calendar will follow later. GENERALI will remain the Madrid title sponsor for a second consecutive year.
Sergio Lewin, co-founder and Operations & Sporting Managing Director of Hexagon Cup, links the choice of Madrid to the origins of the project. He also stresses the time needed to build the structure of an international circuit.
Madrid is where it all began.
Caja Mágica therefore keeps a central role. After hosting the third Hexagon Cup edition in 2026, the Madrid venue will serve as the starting point for the first season of the new circuit. The next announcements will cover the detailed format, team line-ups, participating players and additional international destinations.
