Martina Calvo’s FIP ranking now puts her at world No. 9 with 6,503 points. The update published on 10 August 2026 moves her up three places. At 18, the Spaniard enters the top 10 for the first time, one week after winning the London Premier Padel P1 with Claudia Fernández.
Calvo climbs three places to world No. 9
The FIP ranking dated 10 August 2026 confirms Martina Calvo at world No. 9 with 6,503 points. She was 12th before this update. The FIP also lists it as the best ranking of her career.
The gaps around her remain small. Sofia Araújo is 8th with 6,876 points, 373 ahead. Tamara Icardo is 10th with 6,416 points, only 87 behind Calvo. The young Spaniard therefore sits between positions 8 and 10 in a tightly packed section of the ranking.
The London title adds 1,000 FIP points
The rise comes immediately after the London Premier Padel P1. Partnering Claudia Fernández, Calvo won her first title on the circuit by beating Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea 7-5, 6-3 in the final. Her official FIP profile credits that victory with 1,000 FIP points. One week earlier, her runner-up finish at the Pretoria P1 earned her 600 points.
Fernández and Calvo were playing only their second tournament together. They had lost the Pretoria final to Triay and Brea before winning at Olympia. Our London P1 recap covers the victory and the age record set by Calvo.
After the final, the Pamplona player summed up her first trophy to the FIP:
“I have fulfilled a dream. Now I hope to play and win many more.”
Calvo had already reached the semifinals in Valencia and Málaga before following with a final in Pretoria and the title in London. Her partnership with Fernández, introduced by Actu Padel before Pretoria, has accelerated this run of results.
A post published on Calvo’s official account during her breakthrough in Brussels in 2025 recalls an earlier step in her climb toward the top of the ranking.
Calvo is also 8th in the 2026 Race
The FIP also places Martina Calvo 8th in the 2026 Race. Based only on results from the current season, she is already among the top eight players. That position supports her new world No. 9 ranking.
The next target is 373 points ahead with Araújo. Behind her, Icardo is only 87 points away. The ranking remains tight before Premier Padel resumes in Madrid, followed by the Paris Major.
