One event built around three forms of padel
The event runs from 15 to 17 August 2026 at Padelio Social Hub in Jakarta, with Lucas Bergamini headlining the Indonesia Tour. The project is presented by the Indonesian organisation Premiere Padel, with Sundel Padel Team and the Indonesian federation PBPI. Its name should not be confused with the international Premier Padel circuit, where the Brazilian competes.
The programme brings together three formats that are rarely centred on the same player. A Bronze and Silver competition moves from group play to a knockout stage. The masterclass lasts 60 minutes and is limited to five participants per court. The exhibition is scheduled for two hours and closes the weekend. The organisers are also launching a Tactical release limited to 45 numbered rackets.
The value of the format lies in the movement between those activities. Local players can compete in a structured tournament, work on court with a professional and then watch an exhibition match. The event therefore connects participation, coaching and entertainment within one programme.
Bergamini brings a benchmark from the professional circuit
Bergamini gives the project a clear sporting reference. On 17 August 2026, the International Padel Federation ranks him world No. 16, with a career-high ranking of No. 11. He currently plays with Javier Garrido and has one title in 2026.
For the Indonesian public, direct access to the player is the main point. The small-group masterclass offers a level of proximity that an exhibition alone cannot provide. It also puts coaching at the centre of the programme, a concrete issue for a country looking to develop players alongside the rapid increase in courts.
Indonesia’s FIP calendar is becoming denser
According to data published by the FIP in May, Indonesia had 400,000 amateur players and was approaching 1,000 courts, after a 186% increase in six months. The calendar is expanding as well. Bali hosted a FIP Promises event from 13 to 16 August, while Jakarta will host the FIP Junior Asia Padel Cup from 7 to 14 November.
When that junior competition was announced, Indonesian federation president Galih Dimuntur Kartasasmita summed up the local ambition in one sentence:
Witness the dawn of a new era as Asia’s youngest stars come together in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Bergamini’s Indonesia Tour fits into that wider sequence. Its purpose goes beyond attendance over three days. It gives local players more contact with international circuit standards, both on court and in the way events are organised.
