The men’s and women’s draws for Málaga P1 2026 have been released. Key points
- Coello and Tapia arrive with four consecutive titles and will defend their Málaga crown.
- Bea González returns to her home city as defending champion, this time alongside Paula Josemaría.
- The projected quarter-finals include Coello-Tapia against Nieto-Sanz and Brea-Triay against Icardo-Jensen.
Men’s draw at Málaga P1 2026
According to the official draw published by the FIP, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia receive a first-round bye. The top seeds will open against David Gala and Enzo Jensen or Víctor Ruiz and Mario Ortega. Their projected quarter-final is against Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz.
In the same half, Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro could meet Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas. In the bottom half, Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger will start against Daniel Santigosa and Marc Sintes or Ramiro Valenzuela and Javier Martínez, before a possible quarter-final with Momo González and Lucas Campagnolo.
The other projected quarter in that half would put Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán. The second seeds await the winners of Rubini–Maxi Sánchez versus Perino–Domínguez. Coello and Tapia arrive on a four-title run, confirmed in Bordeaux with another victory over Chingotto and Galán.
Women’s draw: Bea González returns home
In the women’s draw, the top four seeds receive a bye into the round of 16. No. 1 seeds Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea will face either Lucía Martínez and Águeda Pérez or Lorena Rufo and Victoria Iglesias.
The main local storyline sits in the bottom half. Bea González, Málaga champion in 2025 with Claudia Fernández, returns this time with Paula Josemaría. Their opening match will be against Jessica Castelló and Marta Talaván or a qualifying pair. A quarter-final against Ale Salazar and Aranzazu Osoro is the projected route.
The event is also expected to be the final tournament together for Claudia Fernández and Sofia Araújo before the announced changes for Pretoria P1. They could meet Marta Ortega and Martina Calvo in the quarter-finals, while Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero are projected against Marina Guinart and Ale Alonso. At the top of the draw, Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen, champions in Bordeaux, start in the opening round before a possible meeting with Triay and Brea.
The early rounds will quickly show whether the seedings hold. On paper, the Premier Padel Málaga P1 draws already offer two clear storylines: Coello-Tapia’s winning streak and Bea González’s return in front of her home crowd.
