Sintes and Zamora win the final 6-2 6-3
Marc Sintes Villalonga and Juan Zamora Perez finished their week in Espoo with a straight-set win over Matteo Sargolini and Bentahor Espino Mustafa. The Spanish No. 2 seeds won 6-2 6-3 on Saturday, 22 August at ESC Padel.
Both finalist pairs had come through three-set semi-finals. Sargolini and Espino recovered from the opening set to beat Sergio Icardo and Jordi Casanova Bataller 2-6 6-3 6-4. Sintes and Zamora had also come from a set down against Arnau Ayats and Emilio Sanchez Chamero, winning 6-7(5) 6-3 6-4. The final did not require a deciding set.
The official FIP draw confirms the result at an event held from 19 to 22 August in Finland. Total prize money was €18,000, with €1,440 per player for the winners and €720 per player for the finalists. The draw also awards 80 FIP ranking points to the winners. Actu Padel had previewed the FIP Silver Espoo context before the main draw began.
The official ESC Padel account shared this edition before the tournament started:
Three three-set matches before the final
Sintes and Zamora had to work harder before the title match. After opening with a 6-1 6-2 win over Arthaud Dumoulin and Guillaume Ledrap, they needed a deciding set in each of their next three matches.
They beat Hugo Lorenzo Serrano and Daniel Maldonado Fornieles 6-2 4-6 6-2 in the round of 16. Jaume Romera Barcelo and Nacho Moragues Moltò then fell 6-1 3-6 6-3 in the quarter-finals. Ayats and Sanchez Chamero took the first set of the semi-final before the No. 2 seeds turned the match around. Sintes and Zamora therefore played three consecutive deciding sets before closing the final in two.
Zamora backs up Porto, Sintes adds a fifth title
The result extends a productive run for both players. In the FIP ranking dated 17 August, Sintes was world No. 57 and Zamora No. 111. Sintes already had four titles in 2026 and Zamora one. The Espoo victory raises those totals to five and two.
For Zamora, the second trophy comes less than a month after his first professional title, won at the FIP Silver Mimosa Open Porto with Ramiro Pereyra. After that victory in Portugal, the 18-year-old told the FIP:
I am happy to have won my first professional title. Now we have to keep improving.
Less than a month later, Zamora has won again. Sintes continues a season already marked by titles in Caen, Elche, Latina and Höganäs.
