The Germany P2 2026 ended on Sunday 11 October at Castello Düsseldorf with two straight-set finals. Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia defeated Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) in the men’s draw. Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo won the women’s title by beating Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero 6-3, 6-0.
Men’s final: an 11th title of 2026 for Coello and Tapia
Following their victories at the Paris Major and Rotterdam P2, the world No. 1 pair have now won three tournaments in a row. The Düsseldorf trophy is their eleventh of the season and their first in Germany. They had lost last year’s final here to Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto, making this result particularly meaningful.
Coello and Tapia made the stronger start, although Stupaczuk and Sanz recovered an early break in the opening set. With the score level at 2-2, the Spanish-Argentine pair took four consecutive games to claim the set 6-2. Their opponents fought back in the second and led 6-5 with a chance to serve for the set. Coello and Tapia broke back immediately and won the deciding tie-break 7-5.
After the match, Coello spoke about winning in Germany for the first time and the sport’s growth there. This was the second week in a row that these pairs had met in the final, with the same winners as in Rotterdam. Stupaczuk and Sanz are still without a title together this season despite reaching two consecutive finals.
Women’s final: Fernández and Calvo avenge their Paris defeat
Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo, the fourth seeds, faced the pair that had beaten them in the Paris Major final. This time they were in control throughout, needing only 68 minutes to defeat Sánchez and Ustero. A break in the fourth game of the first set proved crucial, and Fernández and Calvo then won all six games of the second set.
It was the second title of their partnership, after their London P1 success, and their first P2 trophy. Their path to the final had been tougher: on Saturday they defeated Paula Josemaría and Bea González 6-4, 5-7, 7-6. Sánchez and Ustero entered Sunday’s match as winners of the previous two Tour events in Paris and Rotterdam.
Martina Calvo referred to their previous meeting when speaking after the match:
In Paris, Ari and Andrea played a perfect match. This time it was our turn.
Fernández and Calvo, aged 20 and 18 respectively, have won two titles, reached two further finals and played in two semifinals in their first six Premier Padel tournaments together since July. Each earned 600 FIP Race points for the Düsseldorf victory.
Milan P1 is next on the calendar
With the Germany P2 complete, Premier Padel moves to the Milano P1 at the Allianz Cloud from Monday 12 October. For more details on the Düsseldorf draw, see our report on the quarterfinals. The remaining tournaments will affect both the rankings and qualification for December’s Premier Padel Finals.
